Well, this is awkward. Just four days before Kelly Bensimon was set to marry Scott Litner, she decided to call the whole thing off. The former Real Housewives of New York City star has left everyone with the same question. What the heck happened?

Kelly and Scott got engaged during the Fourth of July weekend of 2023. Since then, Kelly has been knee-deep in wedding planning and dished about how excited she was to walk down the aisle again at this stage in her life. At BravoCon 2023, she proudly showed off her engagement ring and discussed how she was more than likely going to be a bridezilla.
In preparation for her new life, Kelly rented out her apartment and moved in with Scott. She also just got back from a bachelorette trip to Jamaica. Now, all of a sudden, she’s hitting the brakes on the romance and offering zero explanation of what happened. According to Page Six, Kelly kept things short and sweet in a statement confirming the breakup.
“I have decided that my two daughters are my priority and I won’t be moving forward with this wedding,” she shared.
Allegedly, Kelly was supposed to pick up her wedding dress earlier this week. That same day, she broke the news to Scott that she wasn’t moving forward with the wedding.
We’re desperate to know what went down to cause this marriage to suddenly go off the rails, but it might be a while before we get answers. Unfortunately, Kelly said that she wants some “privacy” while she sorts through all of her emotions.
We’ll be waiting for Kelly to explain this. In the meantime, if you got Kelly and Scott a wedding gift, now is probably a good time to find the receipt and return it.
