Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard had one roller coaster of a year these last 12 months. Now, Summer House Season 9 might just see the continuation of that wild ride. The two went from happily engaged to shakily split in what seemed like no time at all. Their breakup was so sudden that fans immediately turned on Carl.
However, as more context came to light via Season 8, fans weren’t so sure that Carl was entirely to blame for the relationship’s problems and eventual end. Carl allegedly called production to come and film the breakup. That didn’t sit right with anyone at first. But over time, some viewers thought Carl was just covering his bases.
Then Lindsay started saying all sorts of things about Carl, mostly relating to substance abuse. The uncalled-for rumors definitely weren’t a good look for the dumped fiancée. Despite it all, Carl said he’d be willing to try and make amends. As Season 8 ended, the door was left open with no action taken. Now, the two will have another season to hash things out.
Who else is returning for Summer House Season 9?
On July 1, Variety confirmed that both Carl and Lindsay would return to Summer House for Season 9. On top of that, the outlet reported that filming would pick up this week, perhaps on July 4. But for those holding their breath on other cast members, there’s no need to fear. The rest of the main cast will return too, except Danielle Olivera.
Of course, Summer House fans likely already knew that Danielle would be leaving. On June 25, we reported on her announced departure. “Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut,” Danielle told her Instagram followers. “If I can’t put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn’t feel right doing it in a full-time capacity.”
Danielle continued, “The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you deserve that. Right now I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me — my company, my people, and of course myself.” Perhaps Danielle will surprise us with an appearance or two. But only time will tell what Season 9 has in store.
