When Andy Cohen celebrated the 15th anniversary of his talk show, Watch What Happens Live, he rounded up some of his favorite guests. Jeff Lewis scored an invite, as did Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan. The duo also starred in the hilarious series Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. Plus, Teresa Giudice was in the clubhouse, as was Bravo superfan Jerry O’Connell.
But, after the special aired, Jeff revealed that he had some issues with someone during the taping. Well, let’s make that two people. Up first: Lady Morgan!
Jeff Lewis bashed Sonja Morgan as “rude” and “confrontational”
During Jeff Lewis Extended on SiriusXM, Jeff discussed the WWHL special. “I was very annoyed by Sonja, and I believe, I have not seen the episode … that they did a lot of work to edit her obnoxious, drunk behavior. But what you see was 20 times worse,” he stated. “She never stopped talking. She was belligerent.” He added that Sonja was also “rude,” “disrespectful,” and “confrontational.” Yikes!
Jeff continued, “She came for me at the break. I am … was completely turned off by her behavior.” When someone asked if Sonja was at the after-party, Jeff replied, “I don’t think she could even make it to the after-party.”
Someone else asked if Andy gave Sonja any looks during her outbursts. “I will tell you, I watched her behavior and I thought to myself, ‘This has got to affect your career like when you show up at a professional event and act like this. How can this not affect your career?’” Jeff remarked.
He continued, “Well, what I found out recently, and it is a rumor, that one of the reasons that Crappie Lake was not renewed was not because it wasn’t successful for them. It was because of her and her behavior. So it has affected her professionally.” Then he stressed, “As far as I know. That is a rumor.” In the end, Jeff understands that Sonja has fans. “I think that people really like her and are rooting for her, but there is a point in time where it’s not funny anymore.”
Teresa Giudice asked Jeff to apologize publicly
Of course, Andy was messy and asked if Teresa and Jeff squashed their beef. Jeff wanted to drop the topic, but Teresa wanted him to explain to the world why he apologized to her. Meanwhile, Sonja was yelling, “Get on your knees! Get on your knees! She’s Teresa Giudice!”
Well, it’s fair to say that Jeff had the best evening ever at this event.
