Tom Schwartz Had ‘Moral Epiphany’ Leading to Him Becoming ‘A Transitioning Vegetarian’

Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz is thinking about adopting a new lifestyle.

During an episode of Pump Rules Season 11 earlier this year, some of the guys participated in an eating competition at a Brazilian steakhouse. Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, Brock Davies, and Schwartz competed to see who could eat the most steak. Whoever lost would pay everyone’s tab.

Tom was first out of the game, which surprised his friends since the competition was his idea. What brought on this sudden change of heart?

It all seemed kind of “barbaric”

On the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Tom explained, “I’m a transitioning vegetarian,” to which Jax Taylor blurted out, “What?!”

Best buddy Sandoval just rolled his eyes and shook his head, saying, “No, he’s not.”

Schwartz went on to clarify that his sudden lifestyle change was the result of self-reflection. “I think I had a moral epiphany,” he said. “No that’s not true. I just hit the wall, man. I felt like a f*cking savage just eating slabs of meat, and they just keep coming over.”

Schwartz admitted that he just realized at some point that the steakhouse’s all-you-can-eat policy “felt barbaric.” However, he didn’t regret eating all that meat since “it was cool.” And delicious. So, still transitioning then.

His Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner Sandoval echoed his pal’s review of the restaurant. He enjoyed his meal but shared that his evening ended with “pretty bad” meat sweats. I don’t think I even want to know what that means.

So Schwartz isn’t really a “transitioning vegetarian” then. He just got grossed out by all that meat. It kind of gives me a stomach ache just thinking about it.

All episodes of Vanderpump Rules are now streaming on Peacock.
