Sonja Morgan Reflects on NYC Townhouse After Officially Moving Out

It’s official! Sonja Morgan, the Real Housewives of New York alum, is moving out and moving on. She’s officially bidding her townhouse goodbye and declaring the end of an era.

Sonja has openly discussed finally leaving her beloved New York City townhouse. After years of trying to sell it, she finally put it up for auction and officially sold it in May. She joked that she felt much lighter when the sale was finally complete. Looks like she’s more than ready to move on.

End of an era for Sonja

She also shared the goodbye with her fans. Last Friday, she shared a series of Instagram posts showing clips of her packing up her iconic home.

The RHONY alum took a moment to reflect on the wonderful memories created in the home, including raising her daughters, hosting dinner parties, and shooting scenes from the show.

“This stately brownstone has been a cornerstone of me and my family’s life,” she shared. “A beautiful sanctuary filled with laughter and love. I am excited to pass on this magnificent home to its next owner, who will undoubtedly create their own wonderful memories here.”

One of the reels she shared included a snippet of Sonja brushing her teeth one last time in the spacious residence that spans 4,650 square feet.

“Now, as I prepare to embrace a new chapter, I feel lighter and ready to return to my roots as an artist, with more time to be the creative individual I am,” she concluded.

Sonja also posted a photo of the bright pink moving truck outside her former home with the caption, “Movin’ on out!”

No fish gets left behind

While she was definitely sentimental, the former housewife felt a bit comical, too. She shared another reel, asking her movers if they could pack up her koi fish for the move, too.

“I’m not leaving without my fish,” she captioned the reel. “End of a different kind of era.”

She shared that she purchased the fish on a private island in Connecticut and that they have been with her for more than 29 years. When someone pointed out that one of the fish had died, Sonja fished it out and shared she would have to give it a proper burial when she had the time.
