Former Real Housewives of New York stars Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps have been feuding since Season 1 of the show. Sometimes their clashes dominated a whole season. Season 8, when Bethenny revealed to Luann that her fiancé, Tom D’Agostino, had wandering lips, comes to mind. Recently, after what appeared to be a happy reunion, Luann is comparing herself and Bethenny to Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Oof.

Luann was a guest on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast, and she brought up Bethenny. “We’re in a reality version of FEUD for real. She’s Bette Davis and I’m Joan Crawford because I’m f*cking prettier,” Luann said with a laugh. “That’s true.”
The show FEUD: Bette and Joan, created by Ryan Murphy, chronicles the bitter feud between actresses Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Their hostility boiled over as they filmed the movie, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? You can stream the series on Hulu.
Luann continued, “Bette Davis was very conniving. I mean, we’re the reality version of FEUD, is what we are. Because it’s real,” she stated. “The feuds are real.” But comparing yourself to Joan and Bette is really dramatic.
Before Luann crossed paths with Bethenny and her daughter, Bryn Hoppy at a party in the Hamptons, she loved sending some shade to the Skinnygirl founder. “I have heard, as I am doing British Vogue, she is getting kicked out of Chanel. So, there you go,” Luann previously stated. “Success is the best revenge.”
So, when Bryn approached Luann for a photo at the soiree, the cabaret star obliged. Bethenny shared some photos and videos on social media, causing everyone to believe that the ladies had squashed their beef. Including Luann. WRONG! Luann felt used after she discovered that Bethenny still had her blocked on social media.
“After watching Bethenny’s video and still being blocked by her on social media, I realize she just used her daughter to get to me,“ Luann explained, adding that there “wasn’t a genuine reconnection.” That’s cold if Bethenny used Luann for social media content. Fingers crossed the ladies can at least take it down a few notches to being cordial.
