First Trailer for New Show The Anonymous, From the Producers of The Traitors and The Circle

It looks like The Circle and The Traitors have had a lovechild, and it’s making its way to the USA Network this summer. The producers behind the two hit reality shows just revealed their newest show, The Anonymous, and the trailer is absolutely chaotic from start to finish. Check it out below.

Your first look at The Anonymous

The trailer gave us a glimpse at the all-new social strategy game, which brings a few familiar faces back to our screens. There’s Xavier Prather, the winner of Big Brother 23. Plus, Nina Twine is in the cast, the daughter of Survivor legend Sandra Diaz-Twine. There’s also that infamous guy from the Netflix Fyre Festival documentary. We know he’ll do anything to get ahead.

One thing that the trailer doesn’t make totally clear is the gameplay of this show. It teases a lot of drama and betrayal, but how exactly do they get there? Thankfully, USA Network put out a press release that explains it. Apparently, the show exists in “two worlds,” an anonymous world and the real world.

“The Digital Anonymous Networking Interface, or ‘DANI; for short, has invited 12 players to live in her domain and work side-by-side to raise a prize fund of up to $100,000,” the synopsis explained.

It continued, “Despite their close quarters, all players will have their own private underground hideouts, where each is completely anonymous and can say anything and everything behind the mask of a unique handle.”

From their hideouts, the players will try to scheme their way to the end, but each week, DANI will have them try to guess each other’s handles. Whoever does the best job of staying anonymous gets the power to eliminate their competition. It sounds like a lot of catfishy drama, so we’ll definitely be tuned in.

The Anonymous kicks off on Monday, August 19th with a three-episode premiere at 11/10c on the USA Network.
