Tom Sandoval and Victoria Lee Robinson deactivated their Instagram accounts last week. Both accounts have since returned, yet Victoria’s got hers on lockdown now. I get it. These two knew they would face a sh*t ton of heat over Tom’s latest antics, so away they went, explains Victoria. Cue the Vanderpump Rules quip about “living in the comments” here.
Their Instagram shutdown slowed the haters down
Tom and Victoria deactivated their socials right before the news broke of Tom’s latest lawsuit filing. In trying to get ahead of Rachel Leviss’ revenge porn lawsuit, Tom took on the advice of his lawyers and decided to sue Ariana Madix. Well, he didn’t know he was suing her, he thought it was something else, or so he claims. It’s weird.
Thankfully, he has since renigged on this lawsuit and reactivated his socials, after releasing a whoopsie-like statement to the masses. Following this mess, Victoria took to Tom’s comment section. Here, underneath a photo of Tom and Victoria, a fan asked why they deactivated their pages. Victoria’s answer on this came in shortly after.
“We both deactivated our Instagrams once he found out about what the filing really meant. We BOTH were shocked and did not want hate and criticism from the public on something when he needed to focus on fixing it immediately without any distractions. So he made a statement knowing he was going to activate his Instagram once it was finished and the issue was resolved before the backlash came in. Hopefully everyone understands,” Victoria penned.
I’m not quite sure that “everyone understands” though. The comments on Tom’s post stand heavily divided, per usual. Cheating on your longstanding girlfriend on national television will do that to a guy. If only he had dealt with the public’s blows in a more quiet, contemplative manner, but this is Tom, so, here we are.
