Self-awareness is not something that we expect from our favorite reality stars, but thanks to The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, our girl Kim Zolciak is experiencing a sense of radical acceptance.
During the premiere episode, she declared to her castmates: “I’m a f—ing basket case.” Finally, a moment of honesty from the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum.
Kim got raw during The Surreal Life premiere
In case you missed it, the new edition of The Surreal Life has a hodgepodge of random celebrities, and during the first episode, they all had to get “vulnerable” with each other during tan exercise. Kim talked about her divorce from Kroy Biermann and how she didn’t feel “protected” in her marriage. After spilling all of those emotions, she felt surprised at her ability to be honest with her new celebrity friends.
“I don’t know how to let go and then especially be that vulnerable in front of seven, I say strangers, but I feel safer with them than I do if I was to do that with Kroy,” she admitted in a confessional interview. “That’s sad.”
A showmance brewing
The self-proclaimed basket case also spent the premiere episode planting the seeds of her showmance with Chet Hanks. The two were immediately flirty with each other, only to be awkwardly interrupted by Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke.
During their flirty exchange, Chet and Kim talked about how there were cameras in every part of the house, except the bathroom. Then, we fast forward to a few days later, and there’s a teaser clip of them tiptoeing into a bathroom together in the dead of night. For everyone wondering if the two of them hooked up while filming the show, we might have just gotten our answer in the first episode.
