Bobby Zarin will always be remembered for his time on Real Housewives of New York. His presence was one of calm and integrity, and he always had his wife, Jill Zarin’s back.
Tragically, Bobby died on January 13, 2018, after a difficult battle with cancer. His widow, Jill, maintains his legacy with the Bobby Zarin Memorial Trust. And at a recent event, praised her ex-husband and shared some special thoughts.
Jill feels that Bobby is “guiding my hand”
“Bobby is totally here,” the Bravolebrity exclusively told Us Weekly. She was hosting an event to promote her line in Southampton, New York, on July 20. The Mend Skincare Presents: Jill Zarin’s Luxury Luncheon had a roundup of reality TV stars, including Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, and Jennifer Aydin.
And one presence of the metaphysical kind.
“He’s been guiding me a lot recently in some challenges I’ve had in business. I’ve had to make some very tough decisions and I feel like he’s guiding my hand. When one door closes, two open,” Jill shared.
She revealed that Bobby’s cemetery plot was one they picked out together. Additionally, Jill said, “He’s always with me, and I’m going to see him [next week]. I’m going to go to the cemetery. We actually picked it out together. We have a beautiful spot like a park. There are no stones, they’re on the ground and I have a park bench there.”
The proceeds from Jill’s skincare event also benefited the Bobby Zarin Memorial Trust. The RHONY alum is hoping to help fund a cure for the type of cancer that took her late husband.
“I wanted to continue trying to help the next person. Bobby didn’t survive, but maybe one day they’ll have a cure for it. So, I can only raise so much money at an event when I’m giving away everything, but we do raise the money. It goes to two hospitals, one in New York and one in Florida because Bobby was treated in both places,” she shared.
