Teddi Mellencamp is clocking in for work. She isn’t even starring on Real Housewives of Orange County anymore. Yet when her former costar, Vicki Gunvalson, got slapped with a lawsuit for elder fraud, Teddi understood her assignment and promptly shaded Vicki’s situation online. But don’t take her shade too seriously, as she quickly noted that her jest is only a joke.
Over in New Jersey, Teresa Giudice is saying, “Haha, laugh, funny. That’s funny.”
Teddi has shade for days on Vicki’s lawsuit
Vicki works in the insurance field. Any RHOC fan could tell you this, as Coto Insurance and Financial Services was always a big part of Vicki’s storylines. She is the President and Founder, so this all makes sense. However, one of her clients, Diane Field, isn’t happy with the results of Vicki’s investment advice, so she just initiated a lawsuit against Vicki, accusing her of financial elder abuse.
Shortly after news of this lawsuit broke, bloggers began posting about Vicki’s case. Teddi then shared one of these posts on her account. This is where her shade shone bright like a darkened diamond. In all caps, Teddi wrote, “I HAVE NEVER ABUSED MULTIPLE ELDERS IN MY LIFE.”
When the backlash started rolling in, Teddi had no choice but to explain her carefully chosen words. “It’s just a joke callback to this line y’all. Not that deep. Listen to the latest Two Ts ep,” Teddi responded, eventually linking to her latest podcast.
To explain, in Season 8, the cast of RHOC went on a ski trip. While hitting the powder (snow, not drugs), Lauri Peterson accused Vicki of “having lewd sexual acts with more than one person.” In response, Vicki screamed, “I HAVE NEVER BEEN WITH MULTIPLE PARTNERS IN MY LIFE!”
Any longstanding fan of this series should have already known what Teddi was joking about. It was an iconic episode and moment for this series. Yet here some are, reacting in anger without taking a beat. We got you, Teddi. We remember.
