Katie Ginella made a questionable decision that will seemingly change the direction of her rookie season of Real Housewives of Orange County. She made accusations against RHOC veteran Heather Dubrow, with weak evidence. And Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp pointed out the flaws in the matter during a recent episode of her podcast Two T’s In A Pod.
Perhaps it’s a rookie Real Housewives thing, where a new cast member comes in and wants to have their moment. Why else bring up issues from seasons past that don’t involve you? At least wait until you have your actual issues with your castmate.
Teddi called Katie’s storyline “punchable”
Teddi had Alexia Nepola on to discuss the pitfalls of freshman housewives. They agreed that Katie’s evidence was poor, and questioned her motives for challenging Heather on whether she had called the paparazzi on herself or not.
“This storyline honestly is punchable,” the accountability coach said. “If I was gonna show the screenshot…it shouldn’t have…because this is where I’m having issue with all of it. We saw a text that said ‘can you confirm,’ something along the lines of ‘can you confirm that Heather called the paparazzi on herself at Disney’ and the response was ‘yes.'”
Teddi added, “I mean, I could text to my freaking mom right now and she could respond back ‘yes’ and we could show her the text.”
Alexia agreed and called it a “new season, first season” blunder.
“You have to come in, to get into the group, and to kind of like have your moment. And make a moment where you have to bring up something like that. And go against the star, which is Heather,” Alexia said.
Indeed, Katie doesn’t have the backing of any of the other RHOC ladies. Gina Kirschenheiter went so far as to advise against bringing up the issue in the group.
