Below Deck Med’s Elena Dubiach Admits Fault After Watching Herself Back With Bri Muller

It’s the interior from hell this season on Below Deck Mediterranean. Chief Stew Aesha Scott went to Captain Sandy Yawn after feeling helpless mediating between Bri Muller and Elena Dubiach. Neither of them were fired yet, as the crew is currently on charter. But both Aesha and Sandy agree that the atmosphere is so toxic, that they are willing to replace two people.

As with any conflict, there are two sides to every story. Elena has maintained her innocence to her superiors and during confessional interviews. But now that the season is airing, the Slovenian native is remorseful about her role.

Ellie felt she should have been “more professional”

Elena said as much during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Host Andy Cohen asked if there was anything that she’s “seen so far this season that you want to clear up. Or that you want to speak out about?”

“Yes. Everything! Where to begin?” she answered. “So just to sum it all up, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my actions and whatnot. And I’m actually glad I’ve had this opportunity to see myself through somebody else’s eyes.”

The Bravolebrity explained, “Because in our daily lives, sometimes we are assholes to other people but we always kind of see it from our perspective. And maybe we feel justified because somebody did something that deserved that. But we never get to see ourselves from the other person’s perspective.”

One could, perhaps with a certain degree of empathy, have worked that out without having to watch themselves back on camera. Ellie certainly could have been more encouraging to the younger stew.

She added, “And I realized that, sometimes, we are the villain in their story. And that’s who I was in Bri’s story. And I truly regret that. I should have been professional. I should have put my emotions aside. And I should have lifted her up and made her feel stronger and find strength in herself. So I regret that.”

The jury’s out on whether it’s a heartfelt apology. Or if Below Deck Med viewers believe her. But, let’s try giving some grace. Meanwhile, the midseason trailer shows Ellie packing up her suitcase. What will happen?
