WATCH: Below Deck Med Season 9 Midseason Trailer

There’s a hurricane of drama in the Below Deck Mediterranean midseason trailer. Captain Sandy Yawn lets go of at least one crew member, and it’s not pretty. This time the chef messed up more than just cold eggs and bad steak. Relationships are turned upside down when a love triangle turns into a square with the arrival of a new stew. There’s also the little matter of a hurricane barring down onto the super yacht. There’s only seven episodes left, so let’s get into it!

Captain Sandy Yawn wants to fire the chef, and hires a new stew who also falls for Joe Bradley in the Below Deck Med Season 9 midseason trailer

The drama is intense in the remaining episodes of Below Deck Med. Bravo’s The Daily Dish has the tea with the midseason trailer. It kicks off with chief stew Aesha Scott serving a guest some tuna carpaccio with pineapple caramel. Seems harmless enough. But then the guest tells Sandy, “I can’t eat raw seafood, because it can kill me.” This severe allergy had to be listed on the preference sheet, right?

Sandy was furious. She tells chef Jono Shillingford, “Raw seafood can kill her. And it’s in front of her plate.” Jono looked stunned. Sandy said in her confessional, “What the f*ck? We could have killed her. I don’t have a choice, I have to fire him.” It’s honestly shocking Jono lasted as long as he did. He’s not quite ready for that superyacht life just yet. Could Sandy have a change of heart, or is it curtains for him?

The upcoming charter guests aren’t as easygoing as the ones we’ve seen so far. A few boss around the interior team demanding alcohol or asking them to move furniture out of their purview. Ever the professional, Aesha took it in stride. She said, “If I cared that much about rich people being rude to me, I would have quit years ago.”

And speaking of quitting, shockingly the interior crew is still intact. With all the drama between Elena Dubaich and Bri Muller over rank, laundry, and Joe Bradley, you’d think one of them would have left by now. However, the two are still vying for Joe’s affection. At one point they do seem to wise up and realize he’s been playing both of them. But do they do anything about it?

New stew Carrie O’Neill joins the fray, and she is an admitted, “pathological flirt.” Joe tells Nathan he’s already got his plate full with Ellie and Bri. He said, “I’ve already had two, I’m not after another one.” Nathan clapped back, “You’re definitely going for another one.” Bri had her two cents too. She said, “I was the starter, Ellie was the main, and now she’s the dessert.” Is there anyone else on the boat to date besides Joe?

Things also get tense between Ellie and Aesha. Ellie is seen packing her bags and muttering, “I don’t know why Aesha is just blaming me and making me the scapegoat.” Later we get a shot of Bosun Iain Maclean, and Sandy saying, “That’s a fireable offense.” It’s not clear if it’s about Ellie or Iain, but with their behavior this season it could apply to either one of them.

Things get worse for everyone once a hurricane arrives. Iain shouts, “The crew cabin is absolutely flooding!” No one knows where the water is coming from either. Can Sandy and crew weather the storm? It will definitely be an exciting ride to find out!

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
