Teresa Giudice and Andy Cohen have a longstanding, mostly supportive relationship. Tre has starred on Real Housewives of New Jersey for 14 long seasons. Therefore, Andy knows her triggers and likely reactions far better than anyone else. Knowing how Teresa might respond to an incident set to air in Season 4 of RHONJ, Andy reached out to his buddy, trying to warn her that what she was about to see was indeed what truly transpired.
Teresa reveals that Andy prepared her for a scene on RHONJ
Back in Season 4, the cast of RHONJ took a trip to Napa. At the table, Joe Giudice, Teresa’s then-husband, excused himself from the table to answer a “work” phone call. Forgetting he was mic’d, Joe entered the vines and began spewing some pearl-clutching language about his table-flipping leading lady.
“Here she comes, my b*tch wife. She’s such a c*nt,” Juicy Joe said as Teresa rapidly approached her man. Once Joe saw Teresa nearing, he promptly ended his call.
Andy tried to warn Teresa about this scene, Teresa revealed via the July 31 episode of Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast. “Andy Cohen calls me. He’s like, Teresa, he [Joe] did say that. And I’m like, no. I’m like, Andy, I’m telling you, he did not. He doesn’t say that word to me,’” Teresa recalled.
“I think they told me [because] they were trying to warn me first,” she noted. Knowing Teresa would not believe this mess, Andy stressed once again that “‘he [Joe] said it.’” Then, Andy “sent the scene to” Teresa so she could see it firsthand before it aired.
Once Teresa saw the truth, it destroyed her. “Oh my God. I was Kelly, I was devastated,” she further explained. Thankfully, seeing this truth set Teresa somewhat free from the burdens of her denials.
Teresa no longer believes Joe was talking to a “worker.” Instead, she “thinks he was talking to a girl,” which, duh.
Sometimes, the truth is a tough pill to swallow but I’m glad Teresa finally saw the light.
