I know many fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County have questioned how Gina Kirschenheiter ever got cast on the series in the first place. Well, let me tell you. It’s because she is an absolutely fabulous housewife. Since her premiere seasons, Gina has shared everything with fans. She filmed her divorce, issues with her ex-husband, her adventures dating, and everything in between. Even though at times, Gina can come across as a bit unhinged, for the most part, she is a solid voice in a sea of confusion. Dare I say she is the guiding light in the OC?

As Season 18 gets underway, I am seeing a whole new side to Gina. She has really grown into her own, and I like this new, confident Gina who is on my small screen. With so many franchises failing it is good to see a Millennial carrying a lot of the scene on her own. The mom is now standing up to those she once feared and isn’t letting anyone walk all over her. Gina is no longer Switzerland when it comes to her opinions, but rather a strong Bravo personality who others could take notes from.

Gina Kirschenheiter is eerily focused

I don’t know about you, but I love how Gina is calling the other ladies of the group out. The mother of three wasted no time in telling Jennifer Pedranti just how big of a mistake she made by messing with her livelihood. Gina wasn’t wrong for being upset. She went out on a limb for Jen and was made to look like a fool. Jen’s callous behavior took food out of Gina’s kid’s mouths. Earlier seasons would have shown Gina quietly simmering, but in Season 18, Gina is boiling over with no regrets.

Gina isn’t discriminating against who she goes after, either. Just recently she targeted Alexis Bellino for staging scenes. In a riveting plot twist, Gina is accusing Alexis of faking her confrontational scene with Shannon Beador via Decider. The real estate agent mocked Alexis’ statement, “There’s the door, Shannon Beador!” noting, “She clearly practiced all that in the mirror before. And that, to me, even feels like you’re not giving it a real fair chance … Like, you clearly didn’t just think up, ‘There’s the door, Shannon Beador,’ on the fly.”

Gina Kirschenheiter is staying loyal

Last week’s episode showed Gina being put between a rock and a hard place. Katie Ginella, who Gina recruited revealed that she had receipts of Heather Dubrow’s deceit. Now, no one in their right mind actively goes up against Fancy Pants. It’s a death sentence. But what made it worse was that Gina had advised her new friend to keep her cards close to her chest. And when her advice was ignored she had no other choice but to talk to Heather herself.

Gina had a few thoughts after watching the Bravo scene back and was very diplomatic. When Katie touted she had proof, Gina pointed out a text with a vague question isn’t a “proper receipt thought.” Gina also noted that Heather was “Valid” for pointing out that Katie was the one digging up things on her when she should be trying to make friends. She laid all her cards on the line sharing, “I believe her. ”

Gina Kirschenheiter is making hard decisions

Not every Real Housewives star would be able to make a decision that selfishly benefits and protects them if it meant essentially kicking their long-term boyfriend out of the home. But that is exactly what the Long Island native did. As Travis Mullen is being tormented, his ex-wife, Gina, made a call that might backfire. The blonde admitted that she couldn’t take the stress anymore and needed time away from the situation.

The move is ballsy. But if it works out, it will make everything in her relationship ten times better than before. Gina is showing great maturity at a time when most of her costars are trying to figure out why it is bad to be a squatter in a mansion.
