Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows just how hard it can be when it comes time to say goodbye to a cherished member of the family. The former star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dina Manzo, knows all too well the grief that comes with loving a beloved animal. Now, the mother of one is opening up about how she is coping with losing five animals over a four-year period.

Dina Manzo is all about sharing her love, but her heart can’t take much more

Dina’s life update came a little over two years after her cat, Grandma Wrinkles, died and only a few months after she lost Gabriel, her other bulldog. Dina answered a long-time question in her Instagram Q&A via Bravo. The former Jersey housewife shared that “Lots are asking if I’m going to adopt another pup anytime soon.” Dina added a photo of her husband, Dave Cantin, holding their bulldog, adding, “We’ve lost five animals in four years. My heart needs a break. Mama is a full-time job, too.”

Dina has kept followers up to date since 2017, when she first began fostering Lil Mama. The dog was pulled “from the shelter by Road Dogs with her 2 sisters.” In the caption, Dina noted that Mama was “Horrified of humans, underweight, overbred, filled w worms, not even knowing what a leash is these poor babies must have lived a horrible life. I’m deciding soon if I should selfishly keep her because I love her so much.”

In her newest Instagram Story, Dina shared how she is keeping her head up despite all the loss. She wrote, “Many ask how I stay positive. We all have our moments, but for the most part, I intentionally look for beautiful moments throughout my day.” The Glow by Dina owner added “Today I actually cried driving home from the supermarket.” The Bravo star shared, “The view of the ocean/mountains with a sailboat was so pretty. As I admired it there were a bunch of huge bubbles flying by. Two older ladies were looking and pointing at them with wonder like children, and it all made me hold my heart and cry like a crazy person. It also made me order a bubble machine when I got home.”

Bubbles can sometimes heal the deepest of wounds, but we are still sending positive vibes to Dina in her time of mourning.

Real Housewives of New Jersey can be streamed on Peacock.
