Anyone who is anyone knows how well Kelly Clarkson can belt out a tune. You name it, the Texan can sing it. For years, she has been serenading viewers with her own version of karaoke, aptly called Kellyoke, on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. So it isn’t a surprise to learn that SiriusXM has agreed to stream her covers of America’s most popular songs. Hallelujah, y’all!

Kelly fans have been “waiting a lifetime for a moment like this.” Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Kelly gave followers an early Christmas present as she took to Instagram to announce that she would finally be putting together a compilation of her best hits. The Grammy Award winner wrote “You’ve seen them performed on @kellyclarksonshow, and now you can hear Kellyoke covers on the Kelly Clarkson Connection!”
In the audio clip, Kelly told listeners, “I’m very excited to share the Kellyokes because the one thing I get asked the most is, ‘Can you just put them all out on a CD? ‘ A CD. Oh my god. I’m so from the 90s. What?” The SiriusXM station Clarkson Connection will also feature personal stories from Kelly, interviews with celebrities, and personalized road trip mix tapes.
Listeners will be able to have a backstage listening pass as the artists give feedback to Kelly on her performances as well as the meaning behind why she chose each song. According to the daytime TV host, “Kelly Clarkson Connection was the perfect place to have this; I mean, it’s my station, so why wouldn’t we put them out here so my fans can listen to them? People have been asking me nonstop, so we are starting with like several to start with, but we’re gonna start seeping them in here and there, and this will be the place that you can hear the Kellyokes mixed and mastered for this station specifically.”
As a Kelly fan, I’m excited to blast Kelly’s rendition of Blown Away by Carrie Underwood and Miley Cyrus’ Flowers as I hit the open road.
