First things first, we need to send prayers to the servers of Rails and The Quiet Woman. Perhaps even a moment of silence, as both these Real Housewives establishments have seen some things. Luckily, Bravo always knew to have Andy Cohen and a camera on hand, but I’d wager if those walls could talk, they’d have some memories.
The Quiet Woman
Located in the beach town of Corona Del Mar, The Quiet Woman looks quaint, homey, and almost inviting to the untrained eye. But to fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County, it’s a hotbed of fury whenever any Real Housewives star sets foot in there. In 2017, Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd were anything but quiet as they put the California pub on the map. The two foes exchanged insults after Kelly slid into Shannon’s booth. The Real for Real founder wasn’t happy with the intrusion saying, “f*ck you. Read between these lines, you f*cking b*tch. Get out of my table,” as she flipped Kelly the bird.
Kelly stood up to leave, but not before she poked at Shannon’s 40-pound weight gain, saying, “You know what, keep eating.” What transpired next was Real Housewives history as Shannon lost it and threw her dinner plate. The mother of three screamed, “This isn’t my plate, you stupid f*cking b*tch. That’s not my f*cking plate.”
The Quiet Woman picks a side
Shannon loves The Quiet Woman as it is her neighborhood haunt. So it must have hurt when Alexis Bellino revealed that she met Shannon’s ex, John Janssen, there. During Season 18, Lex regaled viewers with the story of their meet cute. In the premiere, Alexis shared that on “November 18, John Janssen walked into my life. I met John at The Quiet Woman. Shannon does not own The Quiet Woman. I’ve been going there for over a decade. But anywho, John walks in and ends up sitting in my booth. We tried to fight the feelings. Unfortunately, the heart wants what it wants.”
Fans were surprised to see that the restaurant posted on Instagram about their love for Alexis. The Quiet Woman wrote, “We (heart emoji) you @alexis_bellino! We’ve known you for decades – you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside!” Yikes, can’t imagine Shannon was too pleased with that response. Arguably, Shannon is the one who put the restaurant on the map…but I guess in the OC loyalties don’t run as deep.
Off the Rails at Rails
Long before the Season 14 finale, the Real Housewives of New Jersey gathered at Rails during Season 7 to air out their grievances. Back in 2016, all Jacqueline Laurita wanted to do was have a private sitdown with Teresa Giudice. The two were involved in a deep feud, which I think all started over selling magazine stories. Instead, what was planned was an intervention that included Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania. After a not-so-quiet conversation, Jacqueline was left crying while running across the tracks. And Teresa announced the end of their friendship.
The OG screamed, “She’s done — she’s dead to me. I wanted to give her the kiss of death today, but I can’t even f*cking look at her. She makes me sick — she makes me want to vomit. She’s a disgrace. She’s a conniving, twisted, f*cking b*tch.” As Jacqueline sobbed, Tre went on saying, “She’s toxic, evil, miserable — she’s psycho. She goes around hurting other people. It’s really sad. Maybe that’s why she’s a miserable woman who doesn’t leave her house. She’s a f*cking cuckoo bird! She’s got issues.”
Turning the tables at Rails
By now, every Real Housewives of New Jersey viewer knows what went down at Rails Steakhouse during the Season 14 finale. Do we even know if Rails serves food? Again, Dolores tried to force the group to make peace with their issues, but she and her fans were sorely disappointed. The lunch immediately went south as Jennifer Aydin talked dirty to Danielle Cabral about her lack of wealth. But the main bomb was learning Jackie Goldschnedier had been the villain all along.
The best thing to come out of the lunch at Rails was the meme showing Melissa smiling coyly at Tre after being called a “whore.” The entire scene was a Greek tragedy that even Sophocles himself would have been proud of. As the saying goes, “It’s no use crying over spilled milk cosmos.” The room was left in shambles, and Dolores was left sitting alone like Dolo Vito Corleone, left to wonder how her broken, Jersey Italian family would ever recover.
