Dancing with the Stars Season 33 Hosts and Judges Confirmed

Dancing with the Stars Season 33 is nearly upon us. As such, ABC confirmed the most basic details – who will host and judge on the upcoming season?

ABC’s confirmation of Season 33 came as a bit of a surprise. Vigilant fans might’ve known it was coming given the gap since last season’s finale. And who could forget the Season 32 finale?

Last season, viewers saw the stars bringing more heat than ever. As such, Season 33 will have some big shoes to fill. Can ABC pull it off? Well, they’re starting with a recipe for success.

When does Dancing with the Stars Season 33 premiere?

On August 13, PEOPLE reported everything there was to know about DWTS Season 33 (so far). It may seem anticlimactic, but fans shouldn’t expect too many changes ahead of Season 33. Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will return to host. As for the judges, fans will see Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli returning to their seats.

A teaser shared with PEOPLE saw Alfonso and Julianne dancing intensely with one another. The clip encouraged viewers to “Step into the spotlight.” Some of the pros also showed up to dance alongside the fan-favorite hosts. At the teaser’s end, Disney confirmed that Season 33 would premiere on Tuesday, September 17, on Disney+ and ABC, with next-day streaming on Hulu.

As for potential stars joining the Season 33 cast, ABC kept a tight lip. When the official DWTS Instagram page posted about the upcoming season, fans threw out all manner of speculation and suggestions. The hopes ranged from Olympic athletes to reality stars to former child stars. But, of course, only time will tell (barring the possibility of a leak or two).

Once again, Dancing with the Stars Season 33 hits Disney+ and ABC on September 17 at 8/7c.
