Remember when we told you about Snowbirds? It’s a reality show allegedly being pitched to Bravo that is loosely inspired by Apple TV’s Palm Royale. It’s supposed to follow a group of New York City socialites who travel to Palm Beach, Florida to do rich people things.
On paper, this show sounds great. There are even rumors of Harry Dubin from Real Housewives of New York running around in this new group of older women. In actuality, the production is going off the rails, and insiders seem to be scrambling to get the show on track.
Snowbirds is off to a rocky start
Page Six originally got the scoop on the chaotic, behind-the-scenes Snowbirds drama. Originally, we shared that the cast would include, Sharon Bush, Cindy Guyer, Gale Brophy, Jane Scher, Guy Clark, and Harrison Morgan. If you don’t recognize any of these people’s names, it’s totally fine. You might not need to remember them.
Sources say that Jane has already left the show, or perhaps she was never involved in the first place. Over the weekend, the cast filmed two events, and Jane was nowhere to be found. An insider claimed that was because no one thought Jane deserved to be a part of the ensemble.
“She did not film. Nobody would film with her. These are substantial people and, no one wants to be associated with her,” the source claimed.
Meanwhile, Jane is denying everything. She told the outlet that someone was “lying” about all of this. According to her, there isn’t even a show to begin with.
She said, “There’s no show! There’s no show! There is no show, and whoever is leaking this is full of sh-t! If I were you, I would stop writing about the Snowbirds, because it’s not true! This is all bullsh-t!”
Bring in the mistress
With Jane (possibly) out of the picture, producers are supposedly looking to swap her out with Rachel Uchitel. She is notorious for being Tiger Woods’ mistress and has since rebranded as a podcast host. A production source said she attended both of the cast events over the last few days and made quite a splash.
Similarly to Jane’s casting, Rachel’s involvement isn’t necessarily cut and dry. Rachel confirmed to Page Six that she did attend the cast events recently but wasn’t actually part of the csat. She just happened to be there.
The production source had a different story. While they agreed that Rachel wasn’t initially part of the cast, she supposedly caught the attention of producers when she popped up at all of the filmed cast events.
The source claimed that she performed so well that they wound up shooting a sit-down interview with her. All of this is probably a dream come true for Rachel. Years ago, she was rumored to be joining the cast of RHONY. Did she keep her eye on the prize all of these years?
Ultimately, the bottom line is that Snowbirds is still in its infancy. None of the cast can get their story straight about whether or not they’re on the show, or if the show even exists. Bravo has a few other new shows in the works, but if this one does make it to air, we’re clearly going to be in store for a whole lot of delusion.
