Paige DeSorbo Reveals How Craig Conover Annoyed Her on Family Vacation: ‘Dad’s Not Over It’

Summer House star Paige DeSorbo takes her Italian heritage very seriously. So much so that she and her family make an annual pilgrimage to Italia. But her boyfriend, Southern Charm star Craig Conover, needs to show a little more respect for the pasta before going on vacation with her family again.

Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s family vacation included hot sauce on spaghetti

On the August 13 episode of her and Hannah Berner’s Giggly Squad podcast, Paige disclosed the major faux pas – or perhaps I should say, “un passo falso” – Craig made in Italy that irked her entire family.

Apparently, whenever Craig couldn’t decide what to order, he’d ask the waiters what their favorite dish on the menu was. Not a bad tactic (I’ve used it myself), but Paige was annoyed.

“You don’t need to give them all those words,” Paige laughed. “I’m like, they don’t give a sh*t what you’re ordering. They’re not eating it.”

Making matters worse, Craig constantly asked the waiters for hot sauce to add to his meal. Isn’t that kind of an insult to the chef?

“My dad’s not over it,” Paige said. “He actually brought it up not too long ago.”

Once during the trip, a waiter brought over a bottle of chili oil, and Craig poured it all over his pasta dish, to the horror of the DeSorbo family.

“I could see them in their seats, just being like, ‘Oh my god.’ He’s a liability in Italy,” Paige giggled.

This isn’t Craig’s first time having a problem with pasta in Italy. During another vacation with Paige’s family, Craig got his pasta shapes confused.

“He had the audacity to say, ‘What is a rigatoni? I can’t remember that shape,'” Paige remembered. “I thought my dad died right then and there. It was like having an alien with us, but we keep him around for comedic relief.”
