RHOM’s Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova Adopt Two Young Boys

You read that correctly – Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova adopted two boys! The Real Housewives of Miami stars shared their happiness with their growing family this week.

Julia and Martina have expressed their interest in adopting for years. “Martina and I are going to do our best to try to — oh my god, I’m having chills,” Julia shared in Season 5. “We’re going to adopt a baby.”

She continued, “If tomorrow they [the adoption agency] called me to say there was a little boy who needs a home, I mean, I would just collapse on the floor and die.” Not just one boy, Julia, but two!

Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova recognize “the challenges and the rewards” of adoption

On August 14, Julia and Martina confirmed to Bravo that their family would be growing. Two adopted boys joined the Lemigova/Navratilova household. In a statement to Bravo, Martina shared, “We are over the moon recognizing the challenges and the rewards for everybody.” The happy couple did not yet reveal the boys’ names or ages.

In December last year, the couple discussed how their plans for adoption were briefly on hold. Julia and Martina wanted to adopt for a long time, but Martina’s unexpected cancer diagnosis put a wrinkle in things. However, as fans of RHOM saw for themselves, Martina bested her cancer in the end. As such, Julia said, “We’re still not closing the door on those plans.”

For a time, Martina expressed uncertainty about having more children. She recognized her age and said, “I don’t want to be the grandmother on the playground.” However, it seemed those thoughts changed, with Julia later saying, “I hope that we will soon expand our family.” Well, dreams really do come true.

The Real Housewives of Miami is streaming on Peacock.
