Gina Kirschenheiter Celebrates Fifth Anniversary With Travis Mullen

Despite their decision to live separately from each other, Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen are still a couple.

Though Travis moved out months ago for their combined six kids to have more growing space, the couple is still going strong. This week, the Real Housewives of Orange County star declared her ongoing love for Travis as they celebrated a relationship milestone.

“Happy anniversary,” Gina wrote in the post, which included highlights of their five-year romance. “I love you [Travis] … 5 years of life with you … 5 years of beautiful moments, 5 years of incredible memories, 5 years of laughter and smiles, 5 years of watching our children grow together, 5 years of loving you and everything that comes with you.”

Just a few months ago, Gina asked Travis to move out with his three children. Their combined six kids are growing up and just need more space. Gina explained how she was feeling about the separation in RHOC Season 18, Episode 3, as Travis packed his belongings.

“I can’t believe how fast this happened,” Gina said as Travis loaded his closet into boxes. “How are you feeling about everything?”

“I feel overwhelmed,” he responded. “I feel there is a lot to figure out.”

Travis wasn’t upbeat about the move, fearing it could spell the end of their relationship.

“I think it just goes from us being one single family unit to more of like, adult dating,” he said. “It seems like all you’re talking about is how to undo the decision that you made. It’s really confusing to me.”

A crowded house for Gina and Travis

For her part, Gina suggested that Travis’ ongoing divorce issues with his ex played a big role in the decision to live apart.

“I feel like in my home it’s me, Travis, six kids, and Travis’ baggage,” she explained. “It’s too much. [The kids] need privacy … We looked at houses, and we looked at what it would take to get into a house the size of our family, and we can’t afford it. Honestly, my gut is telling me that we need to live separately and see where the chips land.”

Even though they live in separate homes, the couple still seems to be doing well.

It’s good, it’s really good,” Gina told Andy Cohen in July on Watch What Happens Live. “You know, we had a bad year. We’re still not through all of it, but I think we’re handling it well.”

Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
