She really went there, and we wish she hadn’t. During the Love Island USA Season 6 reunion, Nicole Jacky and Kendall Washington had an eye-opening chat about his leaked NSFW video. Now, all of a sudden, everyone is Team Kendall.
As you probably know, right after the Season 6 finale aired and we saw Nicole and Kendall come in fourth place, social media lit up with an explicit video of Kendall exposing himself to a camera. Obviously, it was an elephant in the room at the reunion, but fans aren’t happy with how Nicole handled it.
Nicole and Kendall faced off during the Love Island USA reunion
The video came up during the reunion after Ariana Madix asked for an update on the couple’s relationship. The couple previously claimed they were going to make a long-distance relationship work after the Villa, but what’s going on now that the cameras are down?
“It’s been a bit tough on the outside,” Kendall started, “Just trying to communicate — ”
Nicole interrupted him. She said, “Communicate? You have not been communicating.”
That’s when the conversation took a nasty turn. Kendall claimed he was trying to give her space, but Nicole said he “lied” to her face about the origins of the NSFW video. This is when she should have just stopped talking and waited for the cameras to go down. Instead, she made herself look pretty selfish in front of millions of viewers.
“I just want to say something. Obviously, the video is not OK. Nobody deserves that. Everybody in this room can agree, it’s f–ked up,” Nicole said.
She continued, “However, I think if you say you love somebody, in the moment, when you’re telling me about something you need to be honest. Instead of saying it’s from years ago to someone you trusted — an ex-girlfriend — and then I find out two days later from JaNa [Craig] that it was in the hotel room before you go on the show to someone on a dating app is crazy.”
According to Nicole, Kendall put her in a sticky position because of the video. She wanted him to publicly defend her and felt like she got put on blast because of his video.
“This just puts me in such a f–ked position because I cared about you too and I love you and people are questioning that,” Nicole said. “Even though you let the world think we’re not together, we’re still together.”
Love Island fans have Kendall’s back
Nicole’s attitude towards Kendall didn’t resonate with the Islanders at the reunion, and it definitely didn’t land well with the fans watching at home. Dozens and dozens of people watching at home dragged her on X, aka Twitter.
“I’m not a Kendall fan, but Nicole is missing the point,” wrote one viewer. “Kendall had a private video leaked and she doesn’t seem to have a shred of sympathy for how he reacted badly to an impossibly horrible situation????”
Another fan added, “Kendall was literally shaking. That man is traumatized. The fact that Nicole even brought it up on TV knowing they haven’t talked about it privately first is VERY telling.”
As telling as it may be, these two are allegedly still trying to make their long-distance relationship work. During the reunion, Nicole assured Ariana that she hadn’t “ended things” with Kendall.
“All I want to do is mend the lie,” Kendall explained.
