Shannon Beador Demands John Janssen Pay Her Legal Fees in Facelift Lawsuit

There’s been a lot of plastic surgery in the Real Housewives world. However, Shannon Beador’s John Janssen-funded facelift could be shaping up to be the most expensive and dramatic.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star and John broke up in late 2022. John eventually filed a lawsuit against Shannon for fraud and breach of contract. He says he gave Shannon two loans totaling $75,000. She used $40,000 of that for a facelift. John wants the $75,000 back, punitive damages, and attorney fees. Shannon maintains that the money was a gift.

The two have already had some back-and-forth court proceedings in the matter. Now, Shannon’s swinging back. She wants the lawsuit dismissed and wants John to pay HER legal fees.

Recently, Shannon had a setback in court after requesting the “fraud” part of John’s suit to be tossed. The judge declined to honor that request.

According to In Touch, Shannon’s newest filing seeks dismissal of the suit and for John to pay her attorneys.

Shannon’s attorney contended that John deserved nothing because Shannon followed the law. The court filing also claims John hasn’t “suffered any irreparable injury based on any alleged conduct.”

It continued, “Part, if not all, of [John’s] alleged damages were incurred as a result of [John’s] own breaches, acts, omissions, and negligence, and thus recovery by [John] against [Shannon] is barred or reduced accordingly.”

So, Shannon wants those attorney fees. “[Shannon] has engaged attorneys in defense of [John’s] frivolous, unfounded, and unreasonable claims and are thereby entitled to an award of reasonable attorneys’ fees pursuant to applicable law upon judgment in [Shannon’s] favor.”

“[John’s] claims are barred, in whole or in part, due to the fact that no contract was formed because all or part of the contract or transaction resulted from fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.”

“Part, if not all, of [John’s] alleged damages were the result of intervening or superseding events, acts or omissions of other parties, or industry market conditions, over which [Shannon] had no control, and for which [Shannon cannot be held liable to [John].”

The filing also argued that Shannon’s owed a “set off of any money owed” to her by John, “including money owed [to Shannon] pursuant to any contract.” In other words, she gave him money in the past, too. Allegedly.

Johnny J’s current girlfriend, Alexis Bellino, will have something to say about this!

RHOC continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
