This past season of Real Housewives of New Jersey was probably the most vicious I’ve seen since the early days. And I think we have Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin to thank for that.
Contrary to what I just said, I’m actually a Danielle fan. But Danielle’s take-no-sh-t approach towards her castmates resulted in a physical fight with Jennifer, along with some pretty harsh words.
I’m not saying Jennifer didn’t get what was coming to her, as she has a long history of antagonizing her enemies in the worst way. But I am saying that Danielle helped take things to a new level of drama this season. And according to Jennifer, Danielle’s worst wasn’t even shown. Allegedly…
Jennifer Aydin claims a “double standard”
Jennifer took to the comments of a fan after they posted an unflattering clip of Danielle. In the clip, Danielle tells castmate Jennifer Fessler that she regrets “not killing” Jennifer Aydin after their most recent fight during the season finale.
Jennifer fumed in the comments, making a comparison to the backlash that Luis Ruelas saw after saying that he hopes Margaret Josephs’ sons “suffer.” Andy Cohen called the comment the “darkest moment” of the finale.
“Such a double standard!” Jennifer wrote. “Let’s see if people are as angry about her words as they are about Louie’s! She also said in a confessional that she hopes my family ‘gets everything they deserve’ BTW- We Do! Everyday, Salty! But no one seemed to care about that either.”
“Also, at the finale she said, ‘you and your whack job kids’ but they cut that out – of course!” the mom-of-five concluded.
The two castmates have been at odds since the start of the season, with their physical altercation demonstrating just how acrimonious things were between them. Bravo suspended both Danielle and Jennifer for the fight while they conducted an investigation.
Both women resumed filming but Bravo skipped the cast trip (which is a standard practice in every franchise) and ultimately canceled a reunion.
