Once again, Bravo fans are pulling out their pitchforks and torches, leading an online charge to get Andy Cohen fired from his job. This time, it’s thanks to newly unearthed text messages between him and Brandi Glanville that seem to point to a less-than-professional working relationship between the two.
Is this the big smoking gun? Have we finally found the final nail in Andy’s coffin? Probably not. Still, Brandi’s fans are heated, and they want to see some accountability for Bravo’s head honcho.
Brandi said she felt like Andy’s ‘little sex worker’
For the last few months, Brandi has vowed to take down Andy and Bravo for alleged sexual harassment. She shared a video she received from Andy and Kate Chastain where they invited her to watch them have sex. Andy followed up with an apology, insisting that it was meant in jest.
Now, Brandi shared text messages with The US Sun. The texts added even more context to the dynamic between the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her boss. In the messages, she and im casually talked about sex, and Andy threw out suggestions for people she should hook up with, including his stage manager and Southern Charm star Austen Kroll.
At the time, Brandi played along with it, but she told the outlet that she felt pressured to match his energy. In retrospect, she said it felt inappropriate for her boss to send a text like that.
Brandi said, “I think that Andy wants me to take over and conquest [sic] the people that he can’t because they’re straight. So I’m like his little sex worker, and I’m not, I’m sorry. I’m a mom of two. I’ve been in two long-term relationships my entire life.”
Fans weigh in
Of course, all of these receipts have been brought to light in the aftermath of Caroline Manzo’s accusations against Brandi while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Brandi felt like Bravo threw her under the bus, and she’s been having stress-related health problems ever since.
With that in mind, Brandi has a lot of fans in her corner, and they’re pushing for the network to take Brandi’s complaints more seriously. They want him fired.
“Ok, this is actually serious. This is sexual harassment and more. I’m surprised she held this close to her chest for so long. Regardless, this should absolutely be the nail in Andy’s long overdue coffin. If he survives this, I’ll be shocked,” wrote one fan.
“Andy should be very afraid,” another fan added. “He is replaceable.”
Meanwhile, there is still a solid chunk of fans who argue that Andy’s behavior is okay — especially since Brandi wasn’t on the Real Housewives at the time of the texts. Either way, it’s safe to say that this problem isn’t going to go away overnight. Brandi is hellbent on airing out all of the dirty laundry.
