Leah McSweeney’s Lawyer Attacks Bravo: ‘Really Do Not Care About Their Employees’

Leah McSweeney and her legal team are not backing down against Bravo. Now that Andy Cohen’s video and texts to Brandi Glanville hit the press, the gears turn all the more. Leah and her lawyers only feel more emboldened, or so it seems.

For the uninitiated, Leah appeared on Real Housewives of New York Seasons 12 and 13. Shortly after her time on Bravo ended, Leah joined the growing movement against the network. She took legal action, claiming that Bravo fostered a toxic work environment. For example, she accused production of encouraging talent to drink for better TV.

Bravo denied Leah’s claims, suggesting that she was simply bitter that her time on RHONY had come to an end. As of right now, the legal battle rages on. But recent developments arguably help her case all the more, depending on who you ask.

Does Bravo hold Andy above employment law?

Recently, Leah’s lawyer, Gary Adelman, spoke with Page Six amid the Andy/Brandi situation. Adelman said the video scandal “buttresses” Leah’s case against Bravo. In Adelman’s words, the situation showed that Bravo executives “really do not care about their employees.”

“[Usually] if a person associated or employed with a company… sent a video like that to one of his employees, he would be immediately terminated.” Brandi’s lawyers shared a similar sentiment, going as far as to compare Andy’s situation to Matt Lauer’s.

Adelman continued, “It buttresses our claims and sends the message that [Bravo executives] ‘think they are above the employment law’ and really do not care at all about their employees. Especially the women who have made these show successful.”

After Brandi and Andy’s communications came to light, multiple Brandi fans jumped to her defense. Other reality TV fans, however, felt that she didn’t have a leg to stand on. As Andy claimed, it seemed that Brandi was in on the joke the whole time. Only time will tell if these developments affect Bravo or Andy in any significant way.

The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
