Cover your children’s eyes! The live feeds on Big Brother Season 26 just got freaky, It certainly seemed that way at least, and Julie Chen can’t blame this one on AI. Now, fans feel conflicted about whether or not this should have been broadcast to millions of viewers.
The highly talked about moment happened on one of the live feeds, which can be viewed by Paramount+ subscribers. After spending the last episodes developing a showmance, Tucker Des Lauriers and Rubina Bernabe seemingly had sex right in front of one of the cameras.
Big Brother 26’s nearly X-rated moment
The NSFW moment all started with the lovebirds kissing under covers, but things quickly escalated when Tucker got on top of Rubina. The only thing shielding them from the camera was a thin, white sheet, which at one point, nearly slipped off and exposed them both.
A viewer screen-recorded the moment and uploaded it on Twitter with the caption, “GOD…I thought that was a family show.” Quickly, a ton of other Big Brother fans followed suit.
“THE CAMERAS JUST KEPT ON ROLLING??? that’s literally a borderline nasty tape BYEEE,” wrote another viewer.
A third viewer felt like this moment crossed a line, both for the audience and for the Houseguests.
“We don’t need endless clips of sex-capades. The cams shouldn’t even have shown us what was going on up there. I don’t care what they’ve done before,” the Big Brother fan argued.
Meanwhile, some folks were simply concerned about how this showmance would impact their gameplay. Everyone knows that there’s nothing worse in a Big Brother house than a couple who are attached at the hip. Previously, Rubina seemed fully aware of that, so some viewers felt extra confused by the PDA.
“Can we talk about how in less than a week Rubina went from ‘I’m worried about what people will think of my showmance with Tucker’ to doing the most adult activity possible with Tucker on live feeds #bb26,” one viewer added.
Ultimately, the sexcapade didn’t seem to shake Rubina’s game. The next day, she appeared fully clocked into gaming mode. She woke up trying to make moves to get Cam Sullivan-Brown out of the game. Spoiler alert: that didn’t work, but Rubina made it clear that she was playing a game of her own.
“I didn’t come here to play man’s game. I came here to win $750,000,” Rubina quipped in a confessional.
