Is anyone hiring? I ask because the entire Real Housewives of New Jersey cast might soon be out of work. The bulk of Season 14 showed a severely severed group, but once physical aggressions entered the chat, the network had no choice but to switch out its standard reunion formatting in favor of peace. Now, their futures on RHONJ are equally unknown. But Teresa Giudice knows what she wants, and that is a role on RHONJ, not on a new spinoff.
Teresa thinks a family-focused spinoff would create more pressure than another run on RHONJ
Teresa recently appeared on a two-part crossover podcast chat hosted by her podcast, Turning the Tables. While answering questions from her fans, the topic of a potential spinoff emerged. The fans wanted to know one thing. Would Teresa be willing to star in a brand new series featuring the inner workings of her (chosen) family members?
Her answer mirrored a no. With a side of maybe. “The whole thing is, it is a lot to have it all on your family,” Teresa explained, adding, “But listen, never say never, so you never know what the future holds.”
When Teresa films with a cast, other families are equally covered. Therefore, I can understand this take. But for anyone still on the fence, have no worries, as Teresa explained her stance again. In doing so, she noted that whenever anyone is the only lead on a reality television series, this brings “a lot of pressure” to that given household.
These pressure cooker vibes are why Teresa prefers “being on Housewives” with other families. Think about it. When the antics of many are inserted into a singular 45-minute show each week, the drama gets spread around evenly. When it is just your family, your storylines are it, leaving your family open to heightened levels of criticism from the fans.
Teresa is no stranger to the heat. But that does not mean she wants more. Her future, however, is in the hands of the producers. So, stay tuned to see if Tre gets her wish and returns to RHONJ for Season 15.
