The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Stars Reveal Hefty TikTok Checks

Two stars from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are spilling the beans on the amount of money they’ve made on TikTok. Whitney Leavitt and Mayci Neeley opened up about the huge paychecks they’re getting from social media partnerships and brand deals.

“It’s hard because each year is different,” Whitney revealed. “You could get a really big brand deal like, ‘Hey, we want to have like a six-month contract with you,’ and then next year you don’t get it at all. It varies drastically.”

It pays to be a #MomTok star

Whitney shared with E! News that she received $20,000 to promote a sex toy on her social media. And that’s not even the biggest paycheck they’ve gotten for a partnership deal.

“We both have gotten one—we can’t say what it was—but we’ve gotten a deal that was $75,000 one year,” Mayci noted.

Whitney further revealed that the paychecks can vary for different members of the group based on their personal brands.

“It will vary for people depending on what your specialty is,” she said, “like fitness and health or beauty, [or] toys or mommy products for your children.”

“Each industry varies. Some pay more than others,” Mayci added.

Remarkably, the sex scandal that shocked the #MomTok community two years ago had little effect on the group’s income. Even after member Taylor Frankie Paul went public with some of the group’s extramarital affairs, their bottom line didn’t suffer any negative consequences.

Au contraire! “If anything, it just gave us more publicity, to be honest with you,” Whitney said.

Mayci had a mixed view of the negative PR. “I threw an event for my business launch,” she observed. “A couple of vendors almost pulled out because they’re like, ‘Wait, are you in that swinging stuff?’ So, I think reputation-wise [we] took a little bit of a hit, but income-wise, I don’t think it really affected us too much.”

It probably didn’t hurt that both Whitney and Mayci emphatically denied participating in any swinging. “I think if [Mayci and I] were involved specifically,” Whitney speculated, “it would have been different. We weren’t, so we just took the clout from it.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres September 6 on Hulu.
