Real Housewives of Potomac fans were shocked when Candiace Dillard Bassett exited the series after six seasons. Candiace and Gizelle Bryant couldn’t squash their beef and reach any kind of resolution. After all, Gizelle alleged that Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, wanted to be alone with her in a hotel room. But only to talk. Candiace wasn’t buying what this green-eyed bandit was selling. However, Candiace did reunite recently with one of her RHOP cast mates, Karen Huger.

Candiace shocked everyone again with the news that she was pregnant, and that was the reason why she was leaving the show. “I wanted the space around us and around our child to feel peaceful and to feel free and to feel positive without any added pressure, good, bad or indifferent from the show,” Candiace stated. “It was kind of a no-brainer.”
So, it was a treat to see Candiace and Karen reunite. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, the twosome appeared at The Real Housewives of Politics Drag Brunch and Voter Registration. Candiace hosted the drag brunch in Washington, D.C. at Franklin Hall. Of course, Candiace came to slay the fashion game by donning a pink mini-dress, complete with a fashionable cutout at the midriff. Meanwhile, the Grand Dame sported a light blue pantsuit with a white satin tank top.
At the brunch, Candiace hit the dance floor while asking party-goers to check their voter registration status. As Candiace was departing, she shared an important take on checking voter status. “Oh, child, the baby’s moving! This is my call to you to make sure to check your voter registration and ensure that you are properly registered … You may think it is, but it may not be,” Candiace explained. “If you’ve moved, if you’ve changed your address, or if you changed your name — you can be purged from rolls for so many reasons. So just check,” the mom-to-be added.
Candiace and Chris are no doubt prepping for the arrival of their first child, who is due sometime this fall. Congratulations again, Candiace and Chris!
