Tamra Judge Reacts to RHOC Trolls Wanting Her To Get Fired

Tamra Judge is pint-sized, baptized, and, these days – highly criticized. Her Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 antics have been widely panned as mean-spirited.

Many RHOC fans are disappointed and angered by Tamra’s “tough love” approach to her now former friend Shannon Beador’s problems with alcohol.

Some viewers have even called for Tamra’s firing (again). She recently addressed the outrage and, as usual, seems to see nothing wrong with her behavior.

Tamra Judge: not a “villain,” just a “truth-teller”

Tamra discussed the controversy on yesterday’s Two Ts in a Pod. She acknowledged that she’d already been fired once before her return to RHOC after a two-season pause.

“I [got] fired. And people wanted me fired. And then everybody was up in arms. ‘Bring her back.’ And then they brought me back. And then they’re like, ‘Oh my god, she’s so mean. Fire her!’”

Shannon’s trying to fix her life after her disappointingly reckless DUI crash. All the while, Tamra’s thrown drinking in Shannon’s face several times. However, Tamra says she isn’t “villain.” She’s a “truth-teller.” The truth hurts, I guess.

Tamra took a smidge of accountability for her delivery, though. “I will tell you the truth. Maybe my delivery isn’t sweet as pie. But that’s how I am. That’s how I’m wired.”

Further, she didn’t seem to expect this reception of her “truth-telling.” She was just trying to be a good friend, OK?!

“I went into this whole season thinking I’m being a good friend. I’m not enabling. And look how it’s come out.”

Consequently, Tamra says people have kindly reached out to her, too. “They said, ‘You know I understand your frustrations. And it’s very hard for somebody to understand that hasn’t not gone through it.’”

Tamra says she does “have empathy” for Shannon, but doesn’t “really have any sympathy.” She says that’s because Shannon’s been “doing the same thing over and over again for 10 years.” Which, is fair.

Additionally, the amigas are no longer amiga-ing. It might be time for Tamra to throw in the “good friend” towel.

The Real Housewives of Orange County continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
