Heather Dubrow brought an air of elegance and luxury to Real Housewives of Orange County. While the other cast members may have been wealthy, Heather and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, were RICH. As in, build your own chateau with a room for high-end champagne. But since Fancy Pants loves her champs, she had a buzzer to press in her closet that rang in the kitchen. It’s called priorities, people!
Heather joined RHOC during Season 7 and departed after a stressful Season 11. Much to the delight of fans, she returned during Season 16 to bring back that air of refinement that was missing. Heather and Terry share four children, and three of their kids are proud members of the LGBTQ+ community. Both Heather and Terry have been supportive of all their kids and are LGBTQ+ advocates.
However, while Heather may be polite, she can also hold her own in an argument. Going up against Heather isn’t a fun experience. Let’s take a look back at Heather Dubrow’s most memorable RHOC moments.
When Heather Dubrow flipped out over a cake
During Season 7, Heather hosted a party to celebrate changing her last name to Dubrow. To mark this momentous occasion, she bought an expensive and elegant cake, complete with a fondant bow.
When Sarah Winchester, who was friends with Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi, broke off a piece to nibble, Heather was furious. “I’m sorry, but that girl Sarah broke the bow off my cake and ate it,” Heather told Terry and Vicki Gunvalson. Everyone was outraged, and Heather called Sarah “disgusting” and “classless.” Finally, Heather confronted Sarah, who admitted to eating it because she was hungry and needed food. Heather asked Sarah to leave the party. Now civilized people could gaze at the cake in peace. That scene cemented Heather as one tough, and memorable, RHOC housewife.
When Heather Dubrow kicked Shannon Beador out of her house
Heather and Terry were home one evening when Shannon Beador arrived, unannounced. Heather invited her in, Terry made her a drink, and Shannon felt comfortable enough to mention what was on her mind. She explained that someone knew about an email that her husband, David Beador, wrote to her.
Of course, Shannon had confided in Tamra Judge, who in turn told Heather. But Heather refused to confirm who told her the rumor, and she never repeated it. However, Heather’s hopes of Shannon apologizing for calling Heather condescending were dashed.
In the end, Heather dismissed Shannon from her home. “Thanks for stopping by,” Heather said. As Shannon continued to speak, she matter-of-factly said, “My children are in the house. Please leave. I’m asking you to leave.”
Heather refuses to change seats
At a cast dinner during Season 9, Heather sat down in a seat between Vicki and Shannon. While Heather wanted to sit there so she could chat with Tamra, Vicki told her to move.
This command rubbed Fancy Pants the wrong way. “I’d like to see someone tell Vick to move over. It’s quite rude,” Heather said in her confessional.
When Shannon and Vicki went to the ladies’ room, Heather reclaimed her chair. “I’m taking my chair back. Is that okay?” she asked as she settled in. When Tamra said that she was sitting in Shannon’s chair, Heather responded that she didn’t want to move.
So, when Shannon returned, Heather stated, “I took the chair back.” Next, Heather told Shannon that she was sitting there first and was told to move by Vicki. Heather rolled her eyes and made a dramatic display of moving down one seat. I love it when Heather is petty.
Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow embraced some leeches
Tamra decided to throw a party during Season 10, but Terry and Heather smuggled in some uninvited guests. Vicki noticed that Heather’s stomach was bleeding. Heather told Vicki that she and her hubby had leeches attached to their abdomens.
The leeches would suck out blood, then they would be squeezed to remove the blood, which would be applied to your face to give it that youthful glow. No, thank you. Next!
Heather proudly showed how she attached pieces of maxi pads to their abdomens with duct tape. “You guys are so weird,” Vicki stated. “I know,” Terry replied. Poor Tamra had to lend Heather her backup dress because she was bleeding through her first outfit. If you want to play with leeches, maybe it is best not to bring them to a social event.
Heather Dubrow argues with Kelly Dodd
Meghan King Edmonds had a party at a sushi restaurant, and Kelly Dodd came in hot and targeted Shannon. “You’re a freaking c*nt is what you are,” Kelly shouted. She also accused Shannon of “defamatory lies.” After that, she called Tamra a “dumb f*ck.”
That was when Heather reached her boiling point. “This is bullsh*t. I’m done,” she said as she stood up. In her confessional, Heather stated, “I am disgusted by this vulgar, vile display from Kelly. I cannot physically sit here.”
But before leaving, Heather broke the fourth wall. “I am NOT doing this. This is NOT okay,” Heather screamed. “This is low-base bullsh*t!”
She continued, “Kelly, this is not okay. I think that you are probably a very good person at heart. This behavior is not acceptable,” Heather stated. “Leave!” When Kelly balked about leaving, Heather departed instead.
The bus trip in Ireland
When the group boarded a bus in Ireland to the airport, they had already been drinking that day. The scenes were shot in grainy night vision, but the content was the stuff of nightmares.
Kelly started to spill the other ladies’ secrets. The group banded together against Kelly while still arguing with each other. “Kelly, you can’t keep any story straight. Shut up,” Fancy Pants said.
In a confessional interview, Heather remarked, “I’m so sick of Kelly going after everyone. These are my friends.” Then Heather comforted Meghan. “I’m just sorry that your beautiful trip is ruined by that trash,” Heather stated. “She’s mean. She’s damaged.”
However, Meghan saw Heather’s behavior differently. “Heather’s deflecting her role in this whole debacle,” Meghan said in her confessional.
Heather Dubrow faces off with Katie Ginella over the paparazzi
During Season 18, newbie Katie Ginella added fuel to a rumor about Heather calling the paparazzi. According to Katie, a person who was in charge of the paparazzi confirmed that Heather does call them for photo ops. Initially, Katie only told Gina Kirschenheiter, who was good friends with Heather. But then Katie spilled the tea at a girls’ night out.
So, at Katie’s golf event, Tamra told Heather what Katie said. Heather still insisted that she never called the paparazzi. Finally, Katie and Heather had it out.
Katie also claimed that Heather snubbed her at Sutton Stracke’s Christmas party and had asked mutual acquaintances about her. But Heather countered that Katie wasn’t on her radar screen. Then Heather told Katie that she never called the paparazzi.
“Stop saying the word lie. I didn’t lie,” Heather coldly told Katie. “You did,” Katie replied as the other ladies gasped. Yikes! This duo is going to have a bumpy season!
Heather certainly gifted us with some memorable RHOC moments over the years. She certainly isn’t afraid of defending herself, her family, and her friends.
