Aesha Scott Says Below Deck Med’s Elena Dubaich Was ‘Immediately Threatened’ by Carrie O’Neill

It’s becoming apparent that Elena Dubaich is preoccupied with rank and moving up the professional ladder. Perhaps the Below Deck Mediterranean star could improve, were she to focus on improving her skills and keeping her emotions in check. Most recently, it was the arrival of Carrie O’Neill that had the Slovenian native feeling threatened.

Ellie’s treatment of Bri Muller back-fired among fans. Though they did make up, the addition of Carrie to the interior team had the second stew seething again. And her chief stew, Aesha Scott, took notice.

Aesha Scott said she could read Elena Dubaich’s intentions “like a book”

On the September 1 episode of Below Deck Med, Ellie complained to producers of Aesha’s decision to bring Carrie on.

“I don’t know why we need a new person. I don’t agree with it, but I have to respect it,” Ellie said. “It feels like I’m about to get demoted. If I’m reading this situation correctly, it would make me start resenting Aesha for that decision.”

Aesha definitely picked up on the vibes while filming. And during the Below Deck Med After Show, she explained how she reacted to the timing Ellie’s question about becoming a chief stew.

“I think she could see as soon as Carrie came on that she was more equipped and better than her, and was immediately threatened,” the New Zealand native said. “But I was like, ‘Babe, I can read you like a f*cking book. I know what you’re doing.’ But she’s like standing there staring at me, so I’d give her these really short, unenthused answers. And then I’m like, ‘Anyway, let’s just talk about it later.'”

Despite this answer, Aesha did praise her second as “a very good worker.”

“I’m like, if you just shut up and put your head down and played the game and just went along with it and you were a good stew, [you] actually would rise up the ranks so much quicker,” she explained. “But she’s so preoccupied with, ‘How am I going to look?'”

Ellie revealed why she asked about becoming a chief stew

On the After Show, Ellie explained that she simply hoped to “go home and find a small boat” and work as a chief stew. She said that asking about her skill set had no connection to Carrie’s arrival.

“I kind of felt really good about the season. We were finally in a good place. I felt comfortable with my job. I felt comfortable with Aesha,” the Bravolebrity stated.

“Bri and I had made up, we finally had a good charter together. So I felt like, ‘Okay, this is my time to kind of ask Aesha to teach me anything else I could possibly learn,'” Ellie continued. “Maybe about provisioning? Or anything else that she does in her job that maybe I don’t see?’ It was my chance to kind of gain enough knowledge to be able to then go onto another boat and be confident to do the job on my own.”

It will be interesting so see how Ellie navigates the rest of the season. And how the group dynamic changes.
