Welcome back for another round of The Anonymous! Once again, this show delivered everything we needed from a reality competition: betrayals, twists, and shaky alliances. We even got a little ode to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. Truly, it was a jam-packed episode.

Last week, the game took a wild new turn when DANI brought in three new players and gave everyone a handle refresh. With new avatars in Anonymous Mode, everyone felt compelled to take big swings, but people swarmed after Christopher and Victoria. Their newfound showmance put a target on their backs.

In The Anonymous Episode 5, “Build. Bluff. Betray,” DANI put our players back into another round of gameplay with their new handles, and by the end, six players were at risk of getting eliminated. Here’s how it all went down.

Victoria got a taste of power

Episode 5 picked up at the elimination ceremony, where several players faced elimination. DANI narrowed it down to either Christopher or Robbie.

Although Christopher had the most votes, Robbie wound up getting eliminated. How in the world does that happen? Well, it turns out that in a stroke of beginner’s luck, Victoria won the power of The Anonymous.

Obviously, Victoria wasn’t going to eliminate her new boy toy, so Robbie became the fourth player eliminated from The Anonymous. They finally caught up to the Dice, who was now hiding behind the Rocket.

Robbie seemed like a frontrunner for Day 1, so seeing her go was a little shocking. However, her elimination won’t be in vain. Immediately, the other ladies in the house started feeling uneasy about the number of women being eliminated from the show. Robbie might get some justice because an all-girl alliance is forming.

Are the women of The Anonymous being targeted?

We’re in Episode 5 of The Anonymous, and so far, only women have been eliminated from the competition. Fortunately, the ladies in the game realized it, too, and in this episode, we saw them mobilize to defend themselves.

Watching at home, we know the timing of this alliance is a little bit ironic. A woman just won the power to eliminate and chose to send another woman home. The truth is, there are snakes in the grass everywhere you turn.

Either way, Nina, Bismah, Victoria, and Lilly decided to band together. There’s strength in numbers, and if they can all agree upon a target, they might be able to take over the game.

It’s one thing to form an alliance when you’re face-to-face with your competitors. Following through on that once you’re in Anonymous Mode is a totally different story.

When DANI sent the players to their hideouts this week, we expected to see the alliance do some damage. Instead, the chat just got chaotic. It was every player for themselves.

When DANI prompted the players to nominate someone for elimination, things got a little weird. Dillian, Christopher, and Xavier all voted for Wayne to go home under the guise of their anonymous handles.

Andy and Wayne voted for Dillian while Nina continued gunning for Xavier. Victoria hilariously voted for Christopher, even though she just saved him from elimination earlier in the episode.

The weirdest vote came from Lilly, who randomly decided to vote for Nina. Did she forget that the women were supposed to be in an alliance? What are you doing, Lilly?

In her hideout, Lilly explained that she wanted to try to conceal her identity by throwing a vote at Nina. She admitted that she didn’t want Nina to go home, but she thought this would be a smart way to get the power to eliminate her. Throwing your pal under the bus just hours after allying? That doesn’t make sense.

Welcome to the game, Wayne

After spending his debut episode completely on the sidelines, we finally saw Wayne get messy with his gameplay. He dove in head-first after getting put up for elimination, and you have to love him for that.

DANI challenged the players to another face-off challenge, which we already saw them do earlier in the season. Basically, they play a game of Secret Santa to determine who would be safe from elimination. One box has safety, and the rest have nothing.

Is it the most entertaining thing to watch? Absolutely not. But, after spending his debut episode completely on the sidelines, Wayne went all-in on creating chaos. He went full good cop, bad cop which made this challenge interesting.

“I plan to win this face-off by asking questions, causing a little bit of confusion, maybe rattling people with mentioning alliances that I believe they’re a part of,” he said in his confessional.

Cue Wayne completely throwing himself out there. He accused Xavier and Marcel of being in an alliance. He also told Chris that the rest of that alliance would gun for him if he didn’t win safety. He was just dropping bomb after bomb after bomb.

Meanwhile, the rest of the players’ jaws were dropping. Victoria said, “The audience is loving this,” and boy, she was right. This is the type of messiness we live for, even though it didn’t get Wayne very far in the face-off.

Dillian relied on faith for the face-off

Although Wayne’s over-the-top behavior in the face-ff was entertaining, it was Dillian who delivered the tear-jerking moment. Dressed in an outfit inspired by Beyoncé’s latest album, Dillian opened up to the other players about how his mother was watching over him, guiding him through the game.

He said that her favorite color was purple, so naturally, Dillian decided to pick the purple box that Marcel had. Leaning on faith paid off! Inside that purple box was the one word everyone wanted to see: SAFE. That means Dillian is here to slay another day, but, DANI had one final twist for them.

Unlike the last face-off, where the winner simply got safety from elimination. This time, the winner had to put someone else up for elimination in their place. Even worse, Dillian had no time to think about it. He had to figure it out right then and there.

Dillian decided to put Jack up for elimination, mainly because they were trying to spare the women for once. However, little did Dillian know, he just put up one of the biggest threats in the house for elimination. He might have just inadvertently done everyone a huge favor.

The Anonymous continues next Monday at 11/10c.
