Carl Radke Teases New Non-Alcoholic Bar: ‘Space for Everyone’

Carl Radke has turned his challenge into purpose with his new non-alcoholic bar. This meaningful project, which he has been working hard on, is a place for everyone and is set to open in January 2025.

It hasn’t been an easy time for Carl and since his split from fiancée Lindsay Hubbard, he has been hard at work turning his vision of an inclusive non-alcoholic bar into a reality. The bar’s called Carl’s Soft Bar + Cafe and will welcome guests by next year.

Creating a fun space for all

“It’s been a journey,” Carl shared with PEOPLE. “But I feel like this is my calling. I’ve just had this drive inside of me that’s said I had to go for this.”

The non-alcoholic bar is a unique social offering that, to Carl’s knowledge, doesn’t exist yet. He’s thrilled to do something new. “It’s amazing to be in a position where I can introduce a new concept and help redefine the non-alcoholic industry,” he shared.

Carl got sober in January 2021. Consequently, it’s been an ongoing journey. Since then he looked for places in New York where he could go and enjoy being out without the pressure of alcohol looming. “Everywhere I went, something was always missing,” he explained.

That is how the idea of Soft Bar + Cafe first came about during season 8 of Summer House. The place aims to fill the gap and give people a social space for a night out without compromising their lifestyle.

While the place does target those who are sober, it’s also for those seeking a healthier lifestyle without alcohol. It’s also for pregnant women. It’s for friends who want to socialize with the hangover. And even for people who are curious about taking a break from drinking.

Carl describes the concept as “mindful consumption.” The menu will feature innovative and functional beverages with high-quality ingredients made with cutting-edge techniques that just happen to be non-alcoholic.

“I’m really proud of what we’re creating,” Carl admitted. “It isn’t just a sober bar, it’s a space for everyone. I hope it will help a lot of people feel like they have a place to go for the first time.”
