The curious case of Julie Chrisley continues. As the Chrisley Knows Best star awaits her highly anticipated resentencing trial, her whereabouts have been a mystery.
As we previously shared, the Federal Bureau of Prisons no longer has Julie registered as “in custody.” This prompted confusion from fans since that kind of makes it sound like she flew the coop.
Later, we learned that her status changed after they transferred her into the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. Now, her lawyers have spoken up to silence the noise. But, we still don’t know exactly where she is.
Julie Chrisley could be anywhere, but she’s not on the FBP’s “in custody” list
The Sun obtained a statement from Julie’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, which explained Julie’s complicated case status. With her resentencing hearing scheduled for September 25, Jay confirmed that his client was on the move. Allegedly, U.S. Marshals have been following standard protocol that follows incarcerated public figures.
“Julie was transferred out of Lexington, Kentucky,” Jay explained. “She’s scheduled to be in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 25.”
He continued, “The U.S. Marshals Service does the transportation of federal prisoners. They never say where the prisoners are coming from, or where they are going, and when they’re in transport.”
According to the lawyer, Julie got picked up “some time ago.” They believe she is likely being held somewhere near Atlanta in a state or county facility. For her safety, they won’t disclose exactly where she is.
“So it’s not like Julie’s missing from the system. Guaranteed that that’s not even possible,” Jay reassured. “She’s transported privately, securely, nowhere. No one knows where she is.”
According to Jay, even Julie’s family aren’t notified of her specific whereabouts during this time. Savannah Chrisley is probably somewhere recording a podcast, complaining about the whole thing. Either way, the whole Chrisley crew is hopeful for good news soon. After Julie’s resentencing hearing, she could be home as soon as next year.
