Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney Respond To Something About Her Chef Penny Davidi in Court

Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney are thriving during their downtime from Vanderpump Rules. Ariana is finishing an extended run on Broadway, while Katie lovingly tends to their sandwich shop, Something About Her. Sadly, they and their Danish dreams might have to stare down a judge soon, as their former business partner, Chef Penny Davidi, continues to file motions, claiming our VPR girlies breached their contracts. On her claims, Ariana and Katie now say boo.

Ariana and Katie respond to Chef Penny Davidi’s filings

To recap this lawsuit, Chef Penny claims Ariana and Katie failed to uphold the terms of their written partnership. She states that in June 2023, they agreed she would possess 10% partnership rights, serving as the “COO/Director of Culinary.” Chef Penny was also supposed to be paid $7,500 a month, with this rate increasing to $10,000 in January 2024. On air, both of these girls told Lisa Vanderpump that these claims were baseless, and in their latest filing, which In Touch touched, these girls are still sticking to their Gruyère guns, saying nope.

According to these court documents, Ariana and Katie still deny all allegations of wrongdoing in this case. Their lawyer argued, “Plaintiffs fail to allege facts sufficient to support any claim for relief, including by failing to allege a justiciable controversy.” Ariana and Katie then asked the court to award Chef Penny zero dollars. They also want this case dismissed.

Not backing down, Ariana and Katie are ready for their day in court. And yes, they checked the box, asking the courts for a jury trial. Jury trials can be risky, but Ariana and Katie are willing to take this gamble. However their case might land, one thing remains clear: Something About Her is sliving.

Something About Her opened in May of 2024. The hype remains, as four months later, Ariana and Katie continue to see crowds of club sandwich connoisseurs lining the streets outside of their shop. We love this for the girls. And for the sake of all involved, may this lawsuit wrap soon.

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
