On September 12, Bravo released the trailer for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9. Even as Season 8 drew to a close, fans knew the show was in for some changes. Of course, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Here’s all the drama to look forward to (that we know of) on RHOP Season 9.

The trailer opened with the Potomac crew celebrating Dr. Wendy Osefo’s 40th birthday. Everything seemed fine and good until Wendy mentioned “grudges,” leading the group to name Karen Huger specifically. Karen and Wendy had a bit of a falling out after the Grande Dame called the doctor “self-absorbed” behind her back.
But that drama would be the least of Karen’s troubles. The trailer made it clear that a good portion of the season will hone in on Karen’s car crash, DUI, and DWI charges. “I could have died,” Karen told the group. Ashley Darby, with a focus on perspective, pointed out that Karen just as well could have taken someone else’s life.
In the way of lighter news, the trailer confirmed a cast trip to Panama, which will no doubt pile on further drama and excitement. The trailer also saw Wendy heading to the White House to meet up with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. On top of all the high points, fans can also expect plenty of relationship drama amid crumbling marriages and partnerships.
RHOP Season 9’s new and familiar faces
As far as other familiar faces go, fans will see Mia Thornton and Gizelle Bryant return with their former co-stars. Of course, given several recent exits, fans will see some new faces on the scene as well. As per Bravo, “The ladies are joined by new housewives Stacey Rusch, former QVC host, and [former “friend of”] Keiarna Stewart, a successful entrepreneur.”
“Stacey has an eight-year-old daughter and is in the middle of a divorce. Keiarna has reservations about some of the ladies, but is trying to forge her own place within the group.” Jacqueline Blake will return as a friend of a cast, along with new friend, Jassi Rideaux.
What else might these newbies bring to the table? Well, as mentioned, Stacey will find herself struggling with a divorce from her husband of 16 years. Contrast her struggles with romance to that of the other cast members. For example, Gizelle will stare down a situationship with a Bravolebrity who’s 16 years younger than her.
