Canada first entered the Real Housewives franchise via the Real Housewives of Vancouver series. Season 1 aired in 2012, with Season 2 following directly on its heels in 2013. But then, this spinoff died, with many faulting the dark storylines and toxic cast behaviors as the cause. The audience also failed to connect with a few of these hired personalities, and the friendships within felt borderline inauthentic. Whether you loved these series or not, a lot has happened in the lives of these ladies post-filming, and we have the details to prove it.

Some of their lives have blown up in incredible ways. Others have seen nothing but struggle(s) ever since cameras last said toodles. All life updates aside, if you ask me, Vancouver was also a main character in this series, brought to us courtesy of the network’s colorful b-roll footage. It’s a stunning locale, distracting us from the following women’s antics on RHOV.

Mary Zilba

Mary Zilba dealt with a lot of BS during Seasons 1 and 2. She often found herself on the receiving end of hate, typically brought on by Jody Claman. During the Season 2 finale, Jody even told Mary that she was “a piece of shit.” But spoiler alert, Mary was never the problem.

Thankfully, Mary now surrounds herself with much kinder faces, and her career has never been hotter. To start, Mary created her own production company, LadyPants Productions. However, this company has not posted anything since 2017, so it’s likely a thing of the past. Mary also started a liquor brand called Love by Mary Zilba, and she’s still singing, dropping hits at random on her new official podcast and YouTube channel.

Her latest podcast, A Very MARY Commentary, only has one episode up thus far. It focuses on the 10th anniversary of RHOV’s last airing. In her first sit down, Mary explains that if she could go back in time, she would use humor and a more direct level of speech in her dealings with her former costars.

Introducing Christina Kiesel, who isn’t defined by her two very irritating husbands… but she is funded by them. #realhousewivesofvancouver #housewives #rhov #realitytv #vancouver

You have to love an honest reality television star like Christina Kiesel. In one of her confessionals, Christina joked that her income hailed from her two divorces. Her tagline also matched her vibes. “Vancouver is a gold mine, and I love to go digging,” she quipped.

As a twice-divorced woman, her eyes were constantly on the city’s mining executives. She also laughed about hitting on the teenage sons of her paramours. This joke would see her getting canceled now. But today, Christina lives a much quieter life, with socials that haven’t seen an update in years.

That said, her life hit at least one roadblock post-filming. On February 2, 2016, Christina joined the ranks of Real Housewives stars who have gotten arrested. She was locked up and charged in Charleston, South Carolina, for third-degree domestic violence. So that’s not good, eh?

Ronnie Negus

Ronnie Negus was a complex, often dark, Real Housewives star. You never really knew which side of her would show up to filming. Many times, however, her presence included a lot of liquor and a lot of fighting with Mary. In between Seasons 1 and 2 of RHOV, Ronnie’s storyline took a left turn after her daughter Remington choked on a piece of steak, almost killing her.

Thankfully, Remington survived, but her cognition suffered. She now lives in a home with caregivers on Salt Spring Island. Following this, Ronnie began her lifelong journey with sobriety. Unfortunately, difficult moments continued to find Ronnie post-filming.

In 2014, Ronnie and her husband separated. In 2022, yet another tragedy transpired. Their 27-year-old son, Houston Stevenson, died by suicide. Around this same time, Ronnie and her husband reunited. They just celebrated their 23rd anniversary.

Reiko MacKenzie

Reiko MacKenzie only appeared in Season 1 of RHOV. Following this, she and her husband divorced. Reiko then revealed that love has no gender, and she entered into a short-lived relationship with DJ Kasha Kennedy, a female EDM musician from Los Angeles.

As far as Reiko’s career goes, she’s thriving. She is an “award-winning real estate agent,” as touted on Instagram. Her socials are lines with gorgeous listings, all located throughout Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast. Reiko is also heavily into tennis, training and entering every competition she can.

On any given day, you can find Reiko at an open house or out pounding the clay. Making us love her even more, Reiko remains a solid ally of the LBGTQ+ community.

Jody Claman

Jody Claman was one of the main villains on RHOV. Her hatred for Mary was hard to watch, especially when she got Ronnie involved in her verbal tirades. So what’s this fur-loving ferocious fighter up to now? Buckle up, as this answer will take you on a journey of WTF.

In June 2014, her daughter Mia Deakin, who often appeared on RHOV, was injured in a drive-by shooting at a gas station. Mia’s then-boyfriend was a rumored gang member, so the police suspected this shooting was a targeted one. One year later, he and Mia had a son, making Jody a grandmother. Shortly after, Mia’s baby daddy passed away from an overdose.

Around this same time, Jody and Eran Friedlander went through a tumultuous divorce. Eran won, and Jody had to surrender $600,000. She also lost custody of her second daughter, with Eran getting all custodial rights. Karma is a b*tch, eh, Jody?

Jody does have one positive life update, however. She now runs Jody’s Maison, a West Vancouver cafe and catering company.

Robin Reichman

Do everything with so much love in you heart that you would never want to do it any other way ?? #winning

In Season 2, Robin Reichman offered a sweet respite for the often bullied-on Mary. On air, Robin admitted that she only joined this series to distract herself from her life. To explain, she moved to Canada after meeting a Canadian doctor who was doing his residency in Texas, her home state. But after 17 years of marriage and three children – one of which sadly passed away only three days post-birth – they divorced.

These days, Robin still splits her time between Texas and Vancouver. As stated on her Instagram page, she works as an “Entrepreneur” and an “#InmateCounsellor.” She also loves tennis and all things MAGA, but not masks or vaccines.

Ioulia Reynolds

Ioulia Reynolds appeared as a 26-year-old stepmom to the children of her then-spouse. Her stepchildren were also in their twenties. It was interesting, to say the very least. After filming, Ioulia and her husband divorced, and with the help of Amanda Hansen, Ioulia began her journey with sobriety.

Speaking to ET Canada, Ioulia revealed that all of her problems stemmed from liquor. She credits sobriety as the best decision she has ever made. As far as her career goes, Ioulia returned to school for graphic design. She also obtained a fitness training certificate, which she hopes to use to open a fitness center in Vancouver.

Friendship-wise, Amanda is now one of her closest pals.

Amanda Hansen

Speaking of Amanda, she is where this story ends. As our last featured Real Housewives of Vancouver star, Amanda joined in Season 2, quickly befriending several of her costars. Recently appearing on the Reality Talk with Jackson podcast, Amanda shared that she believes she is on the Autism spectrum. She feels this fact might help to explain her lack of a filter on RHOV.

Amanda also thinks she received a villain edit. Now that the cameras are down, Amanda is on a healing journey, trying to find her “authentic self.” She has also taken up pottery and underwent a spiritual awakening. She still loves material things, but her “deep work” has made her see that fine things do not equate to a higher level of self-worth.

And finally, Amanda wishes that RHOV received a Season 3, as many of her costars underwent wild events post-filming. These moments would have created storylines for days. On this wish, we feel the same, Amanda.
