Anticipation runs hot for The Traitors Season 3, and the return of its beloved host, Alan Cumming. However, most fans likely won’t feel all that enthused about Tom Sandoval’s inclusion in Season 3.
For over a year now, Tom has been public enemy number one in the reality TV community. Ahead of Season 3, even Alan shaded Tom’s style. So, clowning on Tom is all too easy. Nevertheless, the Vanderpump Rules star could surprise everyone.
The Traitors is about as good as reality TV can get, proven by its recognition from the Emmys. Perhaps even Tom will have something interesting to do on the show. But what did Alan think of his performance?
Alan Cumming says Tom Sandoval was “lovely” on The Traitors Season 3, but…
During the 2024 Emmys, NBCU’s favorite host appeared in multiple interviews. In one chat with E! News, the beloved host teased some details about the upcoming third season. “We’ve got the Sandoval boy – the naughty boy,” he said, adding surprisingly, “Oh, he was lovely … I can’t say too much of course but there’s a lot.”
He continued, “What I love about each time we’ve done it [is that] it’s so different.” Alan explained that Season 3 would be “brutal this time. Oh my God. In the middle of it, it gets … woah. Ugly. I actually thought I was going to have to break up a fight.” He said he could “feel the energy of a fight” at the Round Table that the cast ultimately avoided.
Alan also assured fans there would be plenty of “touching” moments to accompany the drama. In a separate E! News interview, Alan further teased that “the biggest set of stars in it go out really quickly.” He then described Season 3 as “a bloodbath” that would turn “really lovely.” Sounds as though The Traitors Season 3 has everything a reality fan could want.
The Traitors is streaming on Peacock, with Season 3 expected to air in early 2025.
