When Bravo brought back Real Housewives of Miami, some of the cast had been featured in the show’s previous seasons. But newcomer Dr. Nicole Martin shook up the scene. Not only was she smart, funny, and a successful working mom, but she kept her co-stars on their toes.
This anesthesiologist may put people to sleep at the hospital, but she was spicy on the show. Nicole sparred with Alexia Nepola, Marysol Patton, and Larsa Pippen and didn’t break a sweat. In her personal life, she is engaged to attorney Anthony Lopez. The couple share a son Greyson, and a daughter Genevieve Nicole.
Their baby daughter was born five weeks early, and Nicole recently shared that she is suffering from post-partum anxiety. As a result, Nicole has decided to exit RHOM after three seasons. “I have decided not to return to RHOM. Prioritizing my health and my family is something I need to do at this moment,” Nicole said in a social media post. “It’s a step towards healing and finding balance, and I hope you can understand and support this choice.”
I am really sad to see Nicole go, but understandably, she needs to put her health and family first. Still, I hope that she pops up again in Miami in the future. So, for now, let’s take a look back at Dr. Nicole Martin’s best moments on RHOM.
Dr. Nicole Martin throws around her Black Amex card
Alexia hosted a lunch so that the ladies could ask an attorney some questions. However, she refused to allow him to answer Adriana de Moura and Nicole’s questions. “I want to ask a question about defamation of character,” Nicole said. Alexia responded, “You have the wrong attorney.” Of course, Alexia didn’t want to address Larsa spreading horrible rumors about Nicole.
So, Nicole clapped back, “Alexia, let the man speak!” Basically, Alexia objected, stating that she was paying for the attorney’s time. Finally, in a boss move, Nicole tossed her Black Amex in the man’s lap. This action enraged Alexia. So, at the Gringo Dinner, both Alexia and Marysol scolded Nicole. “I’m wrong because I asked a question that nobody wanted answered publicly,” Nicole stated.
“No, you were wrong because you threw a credit card in a gentleman’s lap,” Marysol stated. And Alexia added how Nicole treated her disrespectfully in her home.
In an awkward move, Nicole’s fiancé tried to smooth everything over. “Alexia, we’ll send him some flowers and we’re sorry for upsetting your household. Does he like chocolates?” Anthony asked. So, then Alexia’s husband, Todd Nepola, jumped into the spat and called Anthony condescending. If only Alexia had let Nicole ask her question!
Dr. Nicole Martin uninvited Larsa Pippen to her engagement party
During Season 5 of RHOM, Larsa upped her feud with Nicole. This time, Larsa claimed that Nicole slept with all the physicians at the hospital where she worked. Since this rumor could damage Nicole’s professional reputation, she was upset. So much so that she decided to uninvite Larsa from her engagement party. But the way that she did it was genius!
Poor Larsa was hanging out with Guerdy Abraira when she received a delivery. While Larsa thought that it was an invitation to something, it was the opposite. A diss-invitation, if you will.
The engraved mirror read, “Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who’s the fake one of them all? Take a good look. I see who you are, do you? See yourself uninvited to our engagement party.”
At first, Larsa said, “I’m so confused.” Then she added, “How f*cked up is this?” That is the most creative way to uninvite someone and point out how fake they are. Two birds, one stone.
Meanwhile, Nicole explained her idea to Anthony. “Isn’t that witty? See yourself uninvited,” she said. Nicole deserved to pat herself on the back after that move. In the end, Nicole stated that Larsa’s false rumor didn’t damage her career.
Nicole’s Mamacita Lunch goes left
Nicole threw a Mamacita Lunch to celebrate all the moms in the group. The setup was elegant and lovely. But when Kiki Barth noticed that there was a place card for “Ana,” the trouble started. As you may recall, former RHOM cast member Ana Quincoces had a major beef with Marysol and Alexia. So, Nicole wasn’t aware of that when Adriana asked if she could bring Ana.
It was Adriana’s idea to try and expose that Alexia had to move because of financial problems, and Ana was the key to spreading that rumor. But once Marysol and Alexia arrived, they immediately had a meltdown when they realized that Ana would be in attendance. Plus, Alexia accused Nicole of setting them up. However, this wasn’t surprising since Marysol and Alexia always seemed to be coming after Nicole.
After storming out, they returned so that Alexia and Nicole could argue some more. Then Alexia told Nicole that her mother wasn’t there because Nicole was “mean” to her. That was low.
“Do not talk about my mom. This is going to get nasty real quick unless you shut the f*ck up,” Nicole fired back. Damn! The rest of the table fell into Mamacita madness as the ladies screamed at each other. It was pure chaos.
Dr. Nicole Martin finds a surprise in Kiki Barth’s suitcase
During the Season 6 girls’ trip to Palm Beach, the ladies were divided into teams for a scavenger hunt. Nicole landed on the same team as Marysol and Alexis. “Instead of the bros, maybe it’s going to be the trios. The trios? Probably not,” Nicole said in her confessional.
The trio downed shots and Marysol gave Nicole a lap dance. Next on the list of instructions was to go into another ladies’ room and find red underwear, lip gloss, or a tampon.
Nicole, Alexia, and Marysol went into Guerdy and Kiki’s room. As Nicole was checking Kiki’s suitcase, she pulled out a vibrator. “Oh my god! She’s got a dildo!” Nicole exclaimed as she held it up near Alexia and Marysol. The pair jumped back. Well, Kiki has needs, okay?
“Dude. Who comes on a girls’ trip with intentions to masturbate? And then I touched it with my bare hands!” Nicole exclaimed in her confessional as she made a face.
Anyway, Nicole posed with the vibrator and a lip gloss. Hilariously, Alexia called it “a dildoo.” It was great to see this group in action, and I loved seeing Nicole having fun.
Nicole reconnected with her dad
During the Season 6 finale, Nicole brought her dad, Miguel Martin II (also known as Mike), along to see Adriana perform her new single at the Havana-themed party. It was so nice to see Nicole dancing with her dad, and then Kiki danced with him.
Earlier in the season, Nicole finally met Mike’s girlfriend, Isis. It was awkward at first, with Nicole mentioning that her father wanted more children. In the end, it was great to see all the progress that Nicole and her father made from her first season.
Sadly, Nicole’s father passed away unexpectedly. During the reunion, Nicole shared that she was able to share the news that she was pregnant before his passing. “We did tell him that we were expecting a baby girl, so he knew that and was very excited about that,” she stated.
“[The show] really did put me in a situation where I had to face the issues that I had with my dad. I think had I not been on the show, I probably would’ve … never addressed them,” Nicole explained. “I feel like we were in the best place that we could be when he passed, so I’m thankful for that.” That must bring Nicole a great deal of peace.
All of Nicole’s best moments on RHOM show why she deserved to hold a mojito. She will be missed, and I hope we see her back on RHOM again someday.
