Alexis Bellino originally appeared on Seasons 5-8 of Real Housewives of Orange County. So, her return as a friend for Season 18 should have been a fun experience. All the fun of filming without the pressure of clutching an orange. But Alexis was in for a rude awakening because some of her co-stars weren’t exactly polite. And it all has to do with Shannon Beador and her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen. Oh, and Johnny J and Alexis are engaged. That shouldn’t cause any drama, right?
Alexis Bellino believes that she was tagged as “the villain”
Alexis has been receiving backlash because of how things have gone down with Shannon. Poor Shannon is vulnerable after choosing to drive drunk, now she is being sued by Alexis’ man. John wants Shannon to cough up $75,000 that he allegedly loaned her for a facelift and other expenses. According to Shannon, it was a loan. Plus, she claims that she paid for everything in her relationship with John. So, when an angry Alexis revealed that there was Ring doorbell footage of Shannon at John’s home the night of her DUI, the fans soured towards Alexis.
Alexis told Decider that she was “a little surprised” that her RHOC co-stars didn’t support her more. “It was almost like [they thought] I’m invincible or something,” Alexis explained. “Or I was just the villain from the beginning. So yeah, it was a very difficult season for me to film for the three reasons, [which] it would be my mom’s passing. We filmed, I think it was three months after her death.” She added, “And then dating who I chose. And then, you know, just all the stuff in the media.”
Of course, Alexis said that her friends, Heather Dubrow and Tamra Judge, did have her back. “Jenn [Pedranti] and Katie [Ginella] definitely once they learned more about me,” Alexis explained. “But it did kind of just take the back burner,” she added. However, according to Alexis, all the online negativity has only brought her and John closer.
