I can’t imagine having the ability to work with Reese Witherspoon. Not only am I a Legally Blonde fan, but I live by the mantra, “Whoever said orange is the new black was seriously disturbed.” But I like to think that this Southern belle knows a thing or two about what it takes to be one of the best actors in Hollywood. So when the Academy Award winner spilled the tea that she might have a collab project with a Real Housewives star, I was over the moon.
Reese stopped the presses when she announced on the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet that she might work with a Bravo personality. Even though she had never watched a Real Housewives franchise before, she told E! “But I did sit next to a Real Housewife on a flight recently.” As the host, Heather McMahan, tried her best not to fangirl, viewers were already thinking of who it could be.
Kyle Richards has the longest resume and might be the one working with Reese Witherspoon
Almost immediately, my mind went to the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who are known for their actors. Kyle Richards was the first to pop to mind since her resume is quite extensive. One fan took to X to write, “I’d put good money on it being Kyle Richards.” Kyle, like Reese, has been in the industry since she was a young girl. The 90210 native has been consistently acting since her mother thrust her into the spotlight. Kyle has titles to her name, such as The Car, Halloween and Down to Earth.
And she’s never stopped acting. She reprised her role as Lindsey Wallace in Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in recent years. She even worked on Peacock’s The Housewives of the North Pole. To say that Kyle was bitten by the acting bug is an understatement, but I question if she could bring the energy to match Reese.
Could Lisa Rinna be the one working with Reese Witherspoon?
Another top guess on the list was Lisa Rinna. With fans claiming, “Watch it be Rinna,” the hypothesis adds up. Lisa also has a history with acting, though she is more on the small screen than the silver screen. At 61, Lisa has worked her way through the industry. She is well known for her character Billie Reed on the NBC daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives and Taylor McBride on Melrose Place.
Again, I’m just not convinced that Lisa and Reese would work well together. Lisa is known for stirring the pot. And while I believe she would be professional, I don’t think their projects would align in the movie world. Now, if Reese had a spot on QVC, I could see the two hitting it off, but until the Walk the Line actress makes one hell of a sweater, these two aren’t in the same league.
Garcelle Beauvais is a contender for working with Reese Witherspoon
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans immediately thought that Reese was working with Garcelle Beauvais. The mother of three is a staple in 80s movie memorabilia. She worked alongside Eddie Murphy in Coming to America and Coming to America 2. Garcelle has a graceful presence on the big screen that would work well with Reese. She’s worked with big stars like Jennifer Garner in You Got Me. And Anthony Hopkins in Bad Company. Garcelle just got rave reviews for her part in Black Girl Missing, which was featured in the last season of RHOBH.
Garcelle has also dabbled in a bit of TV. She might be best known for her roles on The Jamie Foxx Show and the crime drama series NYPD Blue. Garcelle is kind and easy to get along with, so I think she and Reese would have a good working relationship. I could see Garcelle fitting in if the project is a drama.
Denise Richards might be the winner
Personally, my money is on Denise Richards. This woman has literally been in everything. Denise got her start in National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon I with a cameo in 1993. And since then there was no looking back for the blonde bombshell. She kept a busy schedule as she worked on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and High Tide in 1995. But Denise’s big break came in the form of Starship Troopers. She was then given the part in Wild Things and finally was made into a Bond girl for The World is Not Enough.
Denise has the credits and the chops to hold her own with Reese. Both are around the same age and have played the girl-next-door role exceptionally well. I could definitely see them partnering up on a future Hello Sunshine production. Even though Reese has kept the details close to her chest, fans are hoping to figure out the puzzle before it drives them bonkers.
