RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 2 Preview: Heather Gay Compares Bronwyn Newport’s ‘Energy’ to Monica Garcia

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back and firing on all cylinders. The crew is coming off of the dramatic season that centered around Monica Garcia and her devious ways. While the snowflake holders are trying to rebuild, it’s hard for them to not be afraid of a Reality Von Tease 2.0 situation.

RHOSLC Season 5 introduced a few new characters into the mix now that Monica is gone. Bronwyn Newport is Lisa Barlow’s friend who takes fashion to a whole other level. Bronwyn wasted no time inserting herself in with the crew during Lisa’s Besos party. Apparently, Bronywyn might have felt a little too comfortable, and it’s making Heather Gay have Monica-related PTSD.

RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 2 sneak peek

In the teaser for RHOSLC Season 5 Episode 2, Lisa picks up Bronwyn and Heather for the most on-brand outing of all time. The trio belted for the Wendy’s drive-thru to debrief about the party over spicy nuggets and Frostys. Obviously, the Whitney Rose of it all was a major topic of conversation after Whitney’s dramatic exit from the party.

Heather expressed feeling worried that the crew was ganging up on Whitney unfairly. Bronwyn not only disagreed with the idea of a gang-up but shared several strong opinions about Whitney, whom she barely knew. Namely, she thought Whitney screaming about being “healed” felt a little rehearsed. “Like did we practice this in the mirror at home?” Bronwyn said. “Little tears were leaking out, I was laughing so hard like. It was so trite.”

Heather paused mid-bite of her Junior Bacon Cheeseburger because she felt a twang of fear with Bronwyn’s shady remarks.  “This is the type of energy that’s burned me in the past,” Heather said in a confessional. To add to the drama, producers cut to a clip of Monica from last year. “I feel wary of someone who has such strong, harsh opinions about people that they’re just meeting for the first time,” Heather added. She’s not wrong, but it does feel unfair to not give Bronwyn a fighting chance either. Not every new addition to RHOSLC is Monica, Heather. Fortunately, she’s one in a million.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
