Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have been on a wild ride since The Valley’s first season concluded. Fans can’t help but feel for their son, Cruz Cauchi.
For those who somehow didn’t hear the news, Brittany filed for divorce from Jax in late August. While the news was certainly jarring for all involved, Jax was reportedly “on board.” However, as with any divorce, the question remained – what about the kids? Or, the kid in this case.
Brittany’s divorce filing showed her seeking primary legal and physical custody of Cruz. Nevertheless, she would grant Jax visitation rights. Beyond that, details remain unknown or unclear. But some recent photos may have given fans some breadcrumbs.

On September 20, Page Six shared pictures of Jax, Brittany, and Jax all together. Well, all together for a moment at least. The outlet described the pictures as a possible custody exchange. Brittany appeared to wave goodbye to Cruz as Jax took his son in his arms. Jax also carried Cruz’s backpack and bottle to his truck.
The candid photos from outside Brittany’s home made the rounds on social media. Page Six reached out to the stars’ representatives but received no response. And while people say a picture is worth a thousand words, these photos don’t tell us much. At the very least, it seems Jax and Brittany are doing what they can to co-parent. Regardless, the rumor mill’s wheels will keep on turning.
Two weeks ago, one outlet reported that “Brittany isn’t interested in sharing custody with Jax. She feels like she’s doing the lion’s share of the parenting, so there’s no reason she should give up 50 percent [of her] time with her son.” Of course, her official divorce filing would grant Jax visitation rights. As it stands, there’s not much else to do but wait.
