The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been a hit for Hulu. Viewers are fascinated by this group of Mormon moms who happen to be influencers. Toss in a “soft swinging” scandal, some friendship drama, and relationship issues, and you have some much-watch TV. Taylor Frankie Paul caused a frenzy when she announced that she was divorcing her husband, Tate Paul, because of their involvement in “soft swinging.” She admitted that she stepped outside of their marital agreement. While Taylor’s confession blew up #MomTok, the group finally came back together. And Taylor found love again with Dakota Mortensen, and became pregnant. But the couple’s relationship was rocky, and now they are separated.

One of the most interesting aspects of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is that all these ladies are the breadwinners for their families. I love that! Also impressive was Taylor soldiering through her pregnancy on camera. And during the Season 1 finale, Taylor gave birth to her son with Dakota, Ever True. Their relationship was at a tipping point after the girls’ trip to Las Vegas, which included Dakota and Jen Affleck’s husband, Zac Affleck. The drama was crazy!
Taylor’s co-star, Mayci Neeley shared an anonymous message from a woman who claimed that slept with Dakota when he was with Taylor. Of course, Dakota denied it, but Taylor, who has trust issues, didn’t know whether to believe him. The final moments of the finale showed Mayci calling a woman named Jenna to find out if she sent the message and what exactly happened. This is why we need a second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives! I need answers!
Taylor shares that she and Dakota are “working on things”
Now, Taylor confirmed that she and Dakota have separated. “I would say we’re working on things, and I actually have no idea where it goes with us from here. We are not fully together, but not fully done,” Taylor told US Weekly. “I don’t know what the future holds with him and I.”
She added that she is “heartbroken.” Taylor said, “It’s just a lot. I’m trying to cope.” It seems that Dakota didn’t appreciate the way that he was depicted on the show. Well, producers can’t manifest bad behavior that didn’t exist.
“He has a really good soft side,” Taylor said, “and I feel like that wasn’t shown on the show. He’s like, ‘I look like this ass to you while you’re pregnant when that’s just not the case of how I treated you the whole time. Yes, I did defend myself in [some] cases, but that’s not how I am to you. I look like this awful person when I’m not,’” she added.
This duo has always struggled. Maybe it is time for Taylor to move on and take care of herself and her children.
