At least once a month, some random celebrity comes forward claiming Bravo contacted them to be a part of a show. Most of these stories sound far-fetched, but this is one that actually makes sense. Heather Rae El Moussa claimed that producers contacted her about joining Real Housewives of Orange County. It could have been a perfect fit, but she quickly turned it down.

The HGTV and former Selling Sunset star shared the casting tidbit during a conversation with Us Weekly. Apparently, she already has connections to the cast thanks to friendships with Heather Dubrow and Gretchen Rossi. With that in mind, Heather said Bravo producers contacted her to gauge her interest in the show.
As cool as that would be for Selling Sunset fans, Heather made it very clear that RHOC isn’t in the cards for her right now. She shot down the opportunity, and it sounds like it was an easy decision.
“Well, you know, they may have reached out to me and I’m just too busy right now,” Heather said. “It’s just not a good place in my life to do that.”
According to Heather, she’s just way too busy with her HGTV shows. She has a new one coming out with Tarek El Moussa and his ex-wife, Christina Hall.
Either way, Heather said she prefers the drama-free nature of her HGTV shows. You’d be hard-pressed to find any drink-throwing or frivilous facelift lawsuits on that network. They keep things classy over there.
“I love being able to film with my husband and be drama-free, but drama is with the houses and now maybe Christina,” Heather joked. “I like [being] drama-free. Selling Sunset was a lot for me, so it’s nice to be able to just enjoy what I’m doing.”
